I’m very sad at this place…They denied a bath to my grandma , it Wasn’t only one time it was multiple occasions they denied to give her a bath. She needed a bath every day because she has a skin condition because of her cancer treatments ….They left her to sit in her bed needing to use the bathroom for 4 HOURS… after calling multiple times for help!! They also canceled her very important appointment without notifying ahead of time. She has not one cancer but two different kinds of cancer. I’m not a complainer but this is ridiculous. They bring her supper and it was ALWAYS COLD she already has a poor appetite. She also was exposed to Covid and got Covid!!

My mom is nearly their “longest” resident, yet. We have seen them at their best and worst. She has been at two other “homes” in CENLA but TCC is definitely our fave. They have a great team and have gone out of their way to take good care and meet many of her special requests. They have a lower turnover than average of staff. The recent remodel is great and they keep everything spotless and fresh smelling.

The staff is pleasant enough but there are not enough nurses per ward. Because of this, they don't call back as they should, to concerned family members and with detailed enough information, that would ordinarily keep fanilies aware of the status of the loved one. Response time of the personnel, to patient's needs, is slow. In my opinion, the quality and taste of the food is bland, uninteresting and at times, dry. I did notice, a deceased person, was taken out at mealtime, through the corridors, passing in front of the resident's rooms. There has to be a better way to do this. At least at a different time, maybe through the back door?? Having said all of this, please remember, what I have said, is strictly my own opinion, based on my observances. , In addition to this review, before you place your loved one in a home, go online and you will find a list of nursing homes, throughout the state, that have reports of negligence and abuse. It will tell you how many incidents there have been, a detailed accounting of each incident and the dollar amount that the home was fined. You will be surprised at what you'll find.

I was so impressed! Every staff member I spoke with was very kind, and al the residents I interacted with obviously were appreciative of the staff. Grounds were clean and well-maintained. This is certainly a place worthy of consideration.
