I love that I choose hilltop for my mom! She is very happy and is constantly telling me how much she loves her nurses and CNA’s! It was an adjustment for her and me too, but I know I made the best decision! There is a lot of opportunities to socialize and she loves the people that come and play music! Thank you to all staff! Would have been 5 stars, but food does need some improvement- although she is not losing weight and eating the food. I think it is just not the southern country food that she is use to! Also, a lot of reviews are stating differences in their loved one when they announce they are coming vs just showing up, I NEVER announce when I am coming by and I have no problem with her care! I will always recommend Hilltop!!!

Reading reviews are such an important part of any decision, and I hope for the sake of your loved one you read these reviews before making your decision about where you place their care. My grandmother was in Hilltop for a bit throughout the Covid pandemic. Understandably, we were not allowed to physically see her for such a long time so we had to put her trust completely in strangers hands. Every time we would show up to visit, they would wheel her to the window so we could talk through it. She was always bloody and filthy. She didn’t understand where she was or what was going on half the time. It was devastating that she looked so awful and we couldn’t come in and clean her up. One day, she fell out of bed and broke her leg so badly that the bone came through the skin. She was transported to the hospital where her leg was amputated but then she died soon after. Within 48 hours, before we had finished laying her to rest, Hilltop called to inform us that her things were outside the building waiting to be picked up. Why couldn’t they hold the items on the inside where they couldn’t be taken by thieves? They were extremely rude when asked to hold her items and we were basically told no, she was no longer a patient there, so it wasn’t their responsibility. Dealing with this facility was a nightmare from the beginning. If you’ve read this, please take a moment and consider where you could be putting your loved one for their end of life care. Do you want to take that risk?

My brother Glen known as Bubba was at Hilton for 12 years. My sister and I would go and check on him at different times unannounced and he was always happy and well taken care of. He's passed away 9 months ago and I really miss him a lot. Hilton was his home and the employees was a part of his family. If there ever was a issue that I didn't like Rocky or Tracy would address it and it wouldn't be an issue anymore . I can't tell the staff at Hilton how much I appreciate the love they gave my brother. I have visited people at other nursing home and I know my brother was at the right place without a doubt. He reached a point that when we tried to bring him out for a visit he was ready to back home (Hilton). You can't ask for more than that.

My mother stayed at Hilltop for several years, over that span of time I’ve visited her several times a year, I live 10hrs away! If I announced to the staff I was coming my mother would be clean and well kept, unannounced and she was wearing filthy clothes and smelled of urine, a few weeks ago my sister visited her, when she arrived my mother was unresponsive in bed , after notifying the nurse of the situation several nurses went into the room, when my sister re-entered the room they had put her in a wheelchair still unresponsive unstrapped in the chair, an ambulance was called and she was transported to the hospital, 3 days later her right leg had to be amputated due to poor circulation and with obvious indications on her legs that this problem had developed way before the day she was transported. Our family doesn’t want anyone else to suffer like we have! Steps are being taken to do just that! Stay clear of this place!
