“The Springs at Wyandot Trail “review
I give it a one because I can’t give it a zero. The Springs promised they could help my 96 year old father with dementia. The memory care supervisor (Joyce) told us they would help him dressing and bathing. My Dad was falling at home, using a walker. The Springs assured me they could manage clients with high fall risk. We told them Dad was sleeping a lot during the day and wandering around at night often without a walker. Within the first week I received a late night call saying he had fallen and was taken to the ER. Dad was ok that time. As time went by he fell numerous times. I visited every day and often found him seated in common areas with no wheel chair and no walker. He was neglected as far as his cleanliness. I changed his Depends, and clothes more often than Springs Staff or Hospice aids. With dementia and a strong will he was often defiant, but still manageable. I often raised concerns, that resulted in short periods of additional care. After 5:00pm staffing dropped dramatically. Weekend staffing was largely Ohio University students. Sometimes I would stop by to take my Dad for a drive and there was no staff on site to sign him out. The falls continued, finally
I got a call at 5:00am that he had fallen and was headed to the ER. He had broken his neck, horrible pain, too old to survive complex surgery unable to swallow nutrition, terminal. When I asked what happened I got two different stories. Covering your as.. In my opinion they are complicit.

My Mother has recently moved in to the independent living at The Springs at Wyandot Trail. She is still adjusting to this lifestyle and has been greatly assisted by the wonderful staff. We have been very impressed with the attention to detail. If you, or your loved ones are needing to move to a facility that offers any of the accommodations they offer, you owe it to yourself or your loved ones to check them out.

The Springs at Wyandot Trail in Lancaster is a wonderful community that truly cares about its residents. The staff are kind, attentive, and treat everyone with dignity and respect. The building is clean, welcoming, and feels like home the moment you walk in. You can tell the team works hard to create a safe, comfortable environment while also providing activities and opportunities for residents to stay engaged and connected. Families can feel confident knowing their loved ones are in good hands here. I would absolutely recommend The Springs at Wyandot Trail to anyone looking for assisted or independent living in the Lancaster area. As a former hospice nurse I pay special attention to many details. This facility is amazing!
