My mother fell and broke her ankle, so we chose Regency for her rehab. We have been extremely pleased with the nurses, Nurse Noah in particular has been one of the absolute best nurses we have ever had. He is patient, cheerful and very encouraging. Just very refreshing when you are in this situation. We were also very pleased with the therapy girls. Always encouraging and just trying to get you to do your best. We have had just a very good experience here.

My mother got admitted on Friday and signed AMA on Saturday. Friday night she arrived and they did not offer her dinner. Saturday morning they did not offer breakfast either. She had the call light on for one arrive before staff arrived to take her to the bathroom. Then they left my mother on the toilet for well over 45 minutes. They also took a long time to give her medication. The staff when told she was leaving made remarks they were pleased she was leaving. These remarks were made in front of my husband. The CNAs were extremely rude and disrespectful. They had a I don’t care attitude. Upon her discharge they took their sweet time helping her get dressed and into a wheelchair. When putting her in the car the aide didn’t want to help put her in the car. But when I was helping the aide told me what to do. I’m sorry but I’ve been an aide and medical assistant longer than she has and was well aware of how to care for my mother. I will be contacting a nursing home representative to look into this facility.

My mom was in there for a year. She was well taken care of. Judy, Noah, Briar were great. Melinda Blount and Carolyn Goss helped me so much. Very greatfull to them.Dustin was also great.

The bathroom had built up dirt around the edges and when my husband's roomie made a mess in the shared bathroom mind you it didn't get cleaned clear into the next afternoon. On second thought I might should have complained, but I didn't think I'd need to. My husband was there for 2 whole weeks and his room never got swept or mopped and the sheets never once got changed. Clearly their standard of clean is not like mine. But it makes me wonder what the kitchen looked like. Also it was hard to find someone to talk to every time I had questions about my husband's care. But all and all I gave it a 4 starn because the nurses were kind and they did get a place for my husband lickity split. The made the check in process quick and easy.

A vital part of my wife's rehabilitation from a serious fall that caused her to have a shoulder replaced and kneecap screwed back together was at the Regency in Shawnee. The whole facility impressed us from intake and throughout her stay and rehabilitation, they all are caring and professional and really maintain a clean facility (can't remember the cleaning lady's name but she always had a smile and ensured that the room was clean!!). We would like to give a shout-out to the 300 wing and especially Nadine, Holly, Noah, Alexa, Trish, Meghan, and Cassandra. Along with them Debbie "taxi lady" was always friendly and helpful, and Izzy deserves a gold-star just for having to put up with all of her attempts to get information from the surgeons that had taken care of Dee's shoulder and kneecap, and having to put up with being the mediator as we were filing appeals to Humana's Medicare Advantage program. The activity directors (Victor and Sarah) were constantly working to come up with new ideas and accepting of suggestions of new activities. Before closing Dee can't remember the names of the dining facility but was totally amazed with how they remembered the residents likes-dislikes and always went the extra mile to ensure they received nutritious and great tasting meals. If we ever need to utilize a skilled nursing facility in the future, we definitely would make sure to utilize the Regency in Shawnee.
