My mother, who’s been wheelchair bound for many years, took a terrible fall from her wheelchair in February of 2026. This fall was devastating to her health and forced our hands into providing her with 24 hour care. I stumbled onto The Pines of Oakhurst after visiting and researching other facilities. I learned a long time ago to not judge a book by its cover. Since my mothers acceptance to the facility, I was overwhelmed with the staff and what was to be provided for my mother. The Pines has lived up to everything that was promised and then some. Liza and her staff run a top notch care facility and treat each patient with the utmost care. They are attentive to the needs of not just their patients, but their family. Having 24 hour access is a relief as they encourage visitation with your loved one. I feel like the staff has become an extension of our family. Placing a loved one into a facility is challenging enough, but The Pines has exceeded all expectations and I would recommend this facility to anyone seeking 24 hour dependent care. Thank you Liza and staff for what you do and the personal sacrifices you make to make everyone feel like they are at “home”.

Choosing a nursing home for a love one is a difficult decision. However, at Pines of Oakhurst the staff and caregivers are compassionate, kind and loving. The well being of the resident is their main priority. 🥰

It’s never an easy decision to place your loved one in a memory care facility or home. I appreciate their clarity and upfront pricing on their website and feel they are very reasonably priced and affordable in comparison. When deciding on a location I often asked myself would I want to live here if it were me? From the time I walked in the door at The Pines, it felt like a home and smelled like a home, not the typical facility we tend to expect, and it’s somewhere I wouldn’t mind living. The staff there is wonderful. They are patient with the residents and you can see they are genuine and love their jobs, to include the house manager Liza. She runs a tight ship and makes sure everything is clean and in order and that the residents are well tended to and comfortable. I am so happy I found the right place for my dad and have the comfort of knowing he is well taken care of when I can’t be there. The sense of security and calm they provide to the family members is priceless.

My mother has been a resident at The Pines for almost two years. When searching for a facility for a loved one, it can be incredibly difficult to determine which places will truly provide quality care. Several factors influenced our decision to move my mom to The Pines. She had previously been at another facility, but her situation changed and we needed to find a better fit.<br>With the help of an agency, we discovered The Pines, and I am so grateful we did. One of the biggest differences we’ve experienced is their smaller aide-to-patient ratio, which allows residents to receive more individualized, one-on-one attention. This has made a noticeable difference in the quality of care and the level of personal attention my mother receives each day.<br>The staff has been attentive, compassionate, and responsive, which gives our family peace of mind knowing she is in good hands.<br>Liza is truly wonderful and pours so much of herself into the facility. She consistently goes out of her way to make each day special for both the residents and their families, adding thoughtful, personal touches to everything she does.<br>Choosing a care facility is never easy, but The Pines has truly been a positive and reassuring choice for our family.
