I asked the executive director Jamal for a tour and he rescheduled multiple times. The last time he rescheduled he was not even there. A lovely lady named Keela was there and showed me around the community. It is a lovely community and the people there are so kind. I enjoyed talking to the nurse who was informative. I just wish the communication from the director would have been better.

Great location and community in Midlothian. If you are looking for a place that feels like home then check out The Pearl at Watkins. Great tour experience and residents truly love the medical staff and front office staff.

I recently toured this community for my friend and I must say I was highly impressed with the way staff were kind, attentive and engaging with the residents. The tour was great! I will be sharing this with my families that are looking for a good place to place their loved one.

Our family toured The Pearl last week and we were amazed at how welcome we felt. The marketer, Trevor, was kind and so informative. The staff welcomed us and each seemed to have information to give about their departments. We were impressed with the number of certified dementia practitioners and how staff are trained using Teepa Snow. We spent a great deal of time visiting multiple facilities and meeting with marketers and directors. The Pearl felt like home! The activities department was busy with residents and we loved that the staff interacted with residents and their visitors. We lucked in to meeting the nurse practitioner who works and campus. It was comforting to know residents are allowed to age in place and can continue on hospice, with nurse practitioners and doctors that are already familiar with them! The cost is all about the same once you realize the deals are short term at comparable communities. Moving in to a community that is prepared and obviously equipped, is such a breath of fresh air after what we’ve been through! Thank you for making our transition into the community seamless and streamlined.

I have to say I was very impressed with the care that my loved one received at this community. While the community may have had some turn-over with their staffing, I have found that it is for the better. With change always comes someone that does not like when management holds people accountable. I appreciate the dedication of staff to making sure that our loved ones are showered and fed. The community was always clean and smelled nice, which is to the contrary at most other buildings. I believe that the staff genuinely care. I typically find negative reviews beneficial. However, I can tell that the poor ones are obviously from jilted employees who were probably holding The Pearl hostage with employment demands. I believe in promoting business and word-of-mouth is the best kind of advertisement. However, being honest typically serves you better in the long run! I am thankful that my Gran had such a quality experience! I would definitely recommend The Pearl to anyone looking for staff that are well-trained and that truly care about their residents!
