It is very unusual I post a poor review. My mothers respite stay was not up to par for the $8,700 charged to us for a 29 day period! We let her keep her $50 since the grandkids lived close by to give to them (they never got it), she had her drivers license and her credit card in her wallet when we checked her into Spring Arbor of Salisbury. We were extremely exhausted as caregivers and we were heading on a two week vacation. Upon our return, we went to visit her, at the same time, I was receiving text alerts that her credit card was being used! I got her wallet, her drivers license and the $50 were gone. The credit card was there however there were so many Amazon charges placed on her account (we don't even have an Amazon account) and even while on the phone with the credit card company, Uber Eats was coming through...of course I took her card at that point and froze it. Which, yes, she shouldn't have had it to begin with --- we hadn't any problem at any other respite place so it didn't occur to us. The day I went to visit her, I reached out to the staff that I would be arriving. Not one sole in administration greeted me, checked in to share about my mother, and the communication was poor. The Arden, Memory Care a year ago, would send us great pictures of her, participating with other residents, and gave us updates! They were less expensive, never took anything from her, and I would have chosen it again, however my brother had another family member at Spring Arbor of Salisbury, so it was just more convenient for their visits. We've since moved her to a much better place, closer to where we live. To be compromised by a professional facility, means that management is not overseeing their staff properly. I know she was neglected since she is physically good, they needed more staff due to the level of care most of the residents require. We would never return to Spring Arbor of Salisbury nor recommend them. We've lost the trust needed when you pay a place to care for your loved one, and this is the outcome. We were so disappointed.

Our mom is doing so well at Spring Arbor of Salisbury! The assisted living community runs like a well-oiled machine. The Director (Alicia) is amazing and has high expectations from her staff -- and it shows! Everyone has been so kind and attentive to our mom, helping her to settle in, make friends, and even start participating in some of the offered activities. After moving our mom from another community in the area because she was being neglected (even during illness), became very unhappy, the staff did not respond to our questions/concerns or even return our phone calls, lack of adequate staffing, etc., finding Spring Arbor has been a godsend. We know that our mom is finally safe, always cared for, and happy. Any requests or questions are quickly addressed, staffing is on point, and everyone treats our mom with kindness and dignity. Every staff member we have encountered has been wonderful -- from the first inquiry with Danielle in Marketing to the hands-on staff members that care for our mom each day and everyone in between. We would highly recommend Spring Arbor of Salisbury assisted living community. We are so thankful for them.
