I'm sharing hoping this will help the next family that's trying to get their family member rehab without, negligence😐. Being that I had already read reviews, some were concerning but some were ok. I had put this facility last choice on the list however, Oshner Rush Hospital the case manager there Sheila insisted on getting my Dad in this place due to her own personal reasons. My dad had just gotten a feeding tube in his stomach a day or two before being transferred to the Oaks. He wasn't there a week, and he was transferred to Baptist Anderson Hospital due to Dehydration and a UTI. Which how does that happen for a tube feeding patient unless he's being neglected or not cared for😠. My dad suffered a unexpected brain injury so he's unable to make complete sentences which breaks my heart 😔 and to know he's being neglected is even worse. The place smells like urine, and poop when you walk in. It just looks so depressing, the patients just smells throughout the whole facility. I haven't been able to get the director on the phone yet, I've only met her once and we weren't at this place a week before this happened to him. So I'm very disappointed in this place. If y'all Don't care for your family maybe y'all will like it, but if you love your family DON'T, I MEAN DON'T send them to this place!! Every review matters!! I pray mine can help someone!

I highly recommend The Oaks Healthcare and Rehab! The facility itself is beautiful, clean, and very well maintained. You only go to this place if you want to die. If I could post a minus 5, I would. This has to be the worst facility in NJ! I don't know how they can call themselves a rehabilitation facility. My Mother was admitted and stayed for over 2 months with minimal care. They kept her on OXY-24/7, and rarely had her out of bed. She was supposed to have 1 hour of PT everyday and eat in her chair or in the dining room, that never happened. My mother developed bed sores, thrush, fell out of the bed, they didn't shower her, when they told us they did. We had to constantly ask for her to be changed, and unfortunately she developed 2 UTI's while she was there. The nurse manager Crystal was beyond unprofessional, she had poor communication skills and just tried to cover herself with no consequences. Another nursing supervisor discovered that she also discontinued medications without the doctors approval, which is totally illegal and turned out TO BE very harmful to my Mom. As for the supervisors and social worker, the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing, AND the list goes on and on. For the sake of your loved one, PLEASE STAY AWAY!

The Oaks isn't a good place it took 3 hrs to change my mama , it made her bottom scalded. It's hard to get them to come check on you ,there was only one nice nurse (Lucy) that cared great for her and checked on her always and would do the cna's work . So Hey Oaks y'all don't need to be open yall are not caring and helping people . My mama will never ever go there again . The day she went to Dr. I told them she didn't sound right and wasn't acting right . When we got to doctors office two nurses couldn't do her blood pressure cause it was slow 66/36.. they took her to ER and now she's in ICU . Mama said they took her blood pressure at the oaks and it was low there but did nothing .That's sad . They need to hire a new people that really love there job and do it right . People that actually care about other people The therapy folks that work in there r really great they actually care and work with people good !

I am very pleased with the care my brother is receiving at The Oaks. He has been a long term resident for years. The facility is always clean and has a friendly atmosphere. The staff is very supportive, focused on meeting needs of their residents. I highly recommend this facility.
