My mother is here. She had a stroke and is bed ridden. The place is falling apart. The food is horrible. I came to see my mother today. The aid came in and spilt something all over the floor and left it there in the room. The floor was covered in brown stuff, all sticky, and nasty. The room smelled of urine because they were letting her sit in it. I brought my mother food because the food there is terrible and I was there for 2 1/2 hours. They finely changed her after my father asked even tho her call light had been on for some time. They seemed to be bothered by it as well. Why I was feeding my mother my father had to some what clean the mess up that their employees made and left. After 2 1/2 hours went by they still had not cleaned the room or the mess they made! I have been going to this place for a week now everyday to see my mother. I have nothing nice to say about it. Also I would like to note I have worked with hospice before. I know first hand what is expected.

This place is horrible. The food looks like dog vomit. Prison inmates get better meals. Most of the staff could care less about the patients. It is the worse place in Meridian. Just do some investigation on Diversicare and you will find out that they have a 1-star rating. This is according to the official papers that the hospitals give to families that are looking for nursing home care for their loved ones. It is a place that you do not want to send your family members. Find another place.

I’m the primary care giver for a 95 y/o man. He was only at Diversicare for 5 days but I have no complaints. The staff was friendly and helpful. The PT and OT had developed a good plan for him but we felt we had to respect his wishes to go home for his rehabilitation. (He is now receiving PT & OT through Home Health.) Diversicare has called several times to check on him and assess any needs that he may have. I would definitely use this facility again.
