Sherri & the staff at The Neighborhood at Paducah are compassionate and supportive of the community residents and their families. That was the upmost of importance to me for my husband’s “home away from home”. They became part of my family. I was extremely pleased with his care.

My 90-year-old father was wrongfully evicted from the memory care center at The Neighborhood just 2 days after we moved him in. He was evicted, through no fault of his own, but because the director, Sherri, did not thoroughly assess his needs as a diabetic or know the capabilities of her own facility. We were promised quality care for my father, who suffers from dementia, but what we got was a traumatic experience for everyone involved. The move greatly exacerbated my father’s condition. The day of the eviction, my father entered the hospital, and we moved furniture out of the facility just days after moving it in. The area and state ombudsman, as well as the inspector general’s office all acknowledge that the eviction was wrongful and illegal. Don’t send your loved ones here.

I hesitated to write this review, but people need to know. They are slumlords!! It used to be a good place, not anymore!!
My sister and brother in law lived there, I had to move them for their safety. The manager Sherry, was very little help. She lied to me several times about things. Their toilet overflowed with ugly in it, after repeated complaints about it not flushing properly. They went for 3 weeks without a working toilet, having to go down the hall to an empty apartment to use the bathroom for 3 weeks!! Sherry kept saying she was going to call a plumber, finally did. The maintenance man kept running a snake through it, it had cigarette butts and “lady things” in it. They pretty much accused my relatives and their sitters of stopping it up.
The heat and air unit didn’t work in their living room for about 6 months.
The fire sprinklers didn’t work for awhile!!!
They had the nerve to raise the rent, a lot!!
They were both very frail, and I hated to put them through a move, but I had no choice. (My sister was so frail, she passed away less than 2 months after the move)
In my opinion, this is Elder Abuse!!
On the good side, the RA’s were very nice and helpful.
