Moved in one week ago. The move was great! Everyone is very helpful. The facility<br>Is beautiful. The apartment is very cozy.<br>All staff is great! Breakfasts are very yum!

So my mother and I moved to the Residence about 6 months ago. This the only fully orthodox jewish facility that has a shul on premise making participation in the services very comfortable. However this is a very expensive place. It takes a lot of time to adjust after being independent. Additionally this is a for profit facility and it serves the community as well. The rooms are dry and the cleaning service is wonderful. There as in many other facilities repairs needed. The staff are very committed if it could be fully staffed it will be a great place. Much better than other places.

We visited our great aunt and we were surprised of the quality of life this place gives to the residents!<br>It was clean and fresh, the receptionist was very friendly!

Clean, modern, bright, and very tastefully done — nothing feels stuffy or depressing chas v’shalom. It’s the kind of place where you walk in and say, “Ahhh… this feels good.” The rooms and common areas are well thought out, comfortable, and clearly designed with people in mind, not just square footage.<br>But what really makes the place is the people. The staff are warm, patient, and genuinely caring. Not the rushed, robotic kind — but real menschlach who take the time to talk, help, and make sure everyone feels comfortable. You can tell they’re doing their job with a lev, not just a clock.<br>The atmosphere is calm, respectful, and very balabatish. Families feel good coming here, residents feel taken care of, and there’s a strong sense of community without it feeling overwhelming. It’s the kind of place where you’d be comfortable leaving a loved one and actually sleeping at night.<br>Bottom line: The Lakewood Residence combines professionalism with a real heimishe feel — warmth, kavod, and quality all under one roof. If you’re looking for a place that does things the right way, with derech eretz and good vibes, this one is a real winner.<br>Highly recommended — b’shaas hadchak and not b’shaas hadchak!!
