The Ivy at Castle Rock is a beautiful senior living community with a warm, lodge-style atmosphere that feels welcoming from the moment you walk in. The building is thoughtfully designed, comfortable, and inviting, creating a wonderful environment for residents, families, and visitors. The team is professional, friendly, and clearly committed to supporting the residents they serve. I appreciate the attention to detail throughout the community and the genuine sense of care that comes across in their environment. The Ivy is a wonderful resource for seniors and families in the Castle Rock area, and I would highly recommend taking a tour and meeting their team.

I'm helping my parents find a retirement community in Castle Rock. Of the 5 options we considered and toured, The Ivy was the favorite. The community is fabulous and I was very impressed with the staff and the tour experience. They offer the 3 standard levels of care found in most retirement communities, independent living, assisted living, and memory care. Communication with staff was excellent. I set up a reservation online and the manager (Alex) reached out quickly to confirm our appointment and invite us to have a meal in the dining hall. His email responses were quick and thorough, both before and after our visit. We were greeted with a warm welcome upon arrival, and sat down with Alex to discuss my parents' situation and circumstances. He asked questions about their interests and made a concerted effort to get to know them personally. It is my opinion that many sales people in this industry come across as artificial, but Alex seemed he was just being himself, genuine and compassionate (a welcome change after visiting some other communities). While touring the facilities we observed the multitude of amenities they have to offer. Great spaces for games/cards/puzzles, recreation rooms, a well equipped arts/crafts room, two full dining rooms, a yoga/pilates room, and much more (check their website). The apartments were nice as well, not huge, but well designed, clean, and nice finishes. While eating lunch we had the opportunity to interact with a number of current residents. Everyone was pleasant and easy to talk with, and most importantly, everyone was happy. They had positive things to say about the staff, felt well taken care of, and were happy to be living in the residence. I didn't hear a single complaint. Impressive. A concern, The Ivy was recently purchased by a new management group after 14 years under the previous management. I inquired with the residents to see if there were issues with the transition, and their responses left me with the opinion that the new management is doing well. During our tour we were able to view a room that was undergoing renovations. I was happy to see that the new managers are investing in the property. My dad, who has been very hesitant about this transition, said that he thinks the Ivy is, "head and shoulders above the rest," strong words coming from him. Both of my parents are excited about the prospect of moving to CO to live in this community. The staff sent us on our way with a box of freshly baked cookies (from the dedicated pastry chef) and a nice informational folder with all of the details. Throughout the entire experience we were very impressed and felt welcome and optimistic about the future. While retirement communities do have a fairly high cost of living, the pricing structure for The Ivy is excellent. Some of the competitors in the area are priced higher, and it seems at least from my first impressions that they aren't run as well. My parents left feeling that The Ivy is worth the cost, a really good value at this price point. I look forward to having my parents close by and feel confident that The Ivy will take good care of them. If you are exploring options for senior living in Castle Rock, I highly recommend that you consider The Ivy!
