I think of only great things when The Glen comes to mind. Due to my mother's declining condition and increasing dementia, I was no longer able to care for her at home. I was able to place her there, and fortunately she received excellent care there. I was very impressed with the care, and being a RN for nearly 32 years (now) I feel very qualified to make these statements. The Glen did the best they could for her, and she was there for nearly 2 years. It was incredibly difficult to see her decline, but the staff there was beyond fantastic.....from EW, son of Carolyn L.W.

It's hard to review a place where you live. All day. Every day. There are good parts and bound to be not so good parts.<br><br>I can't really do a lot of indoor photos without getting residents in them - i try to avoid that as much as I can, especially here as this is their home.<br><br>Overall, the facility is clean and kept up. The grounds are done regularly and look great.<br><br>There are two water sprinkler things in the two water areas ( kinda like a small pond, maybe). See photos..... These do offer a bit of entertainment and something pretty to look at.<br><br>Flower beds are kept up and always looking nice. I don't know much about flowers, but I guess they're pretty much seasonal.<br><br>The dining room and common areas are nice and relaxing. Residents get a menu in advance and choose their options for each meal.<br><br>The staff is generally good. As I said, when you live there and depend on them so much, there are bound to be issues.<br>Housecleaning and laundry are some of the services offered. Whilst usually good, the staff may have off days and not clean to your expectations. Before moving in, get CLEAR details of what is expected from housekeeping. I think this is the biggest area for misunderstandings.<br>Laundry is good, but things do come up missing. Be sure you mark ALL your items.<br><br>They are pretty good about getting meds on time. Keep on mind there are many residents and each on their own timetable. In the assisted part of the Glen, nurses dispense the meds. With any body ANY where, I suggest you know what your meds are, what they look like, and how often you take them. Nurses are only human, but if you are all able to, keep up with your meds.<br><br>I'd be remiss if I did not mention "alleged" theft of items. This is common in any type of place like this. Keep your valuables and any thing of importance locked up. This will help prevent any misunderstandings.. You are allowed to have security cameras, but you have to pay for your own internet to use.<br><br>Overall, it's a nice place. The apartments are nice and in good order. It's worth checking then out !!

Skilled nursing, what a joke!!!!! These people seldom answer the phone when I ask them to help my grandmother. The main telephone receptionist answers then I get transferred to magnolia and no one answers. It rings off the hook. My grandmother calls me to ask for assistance, however, I live in Florida, so it’s not feasible for me to be there within an hour. The staff that answered the phone was snarky and dismissive. I called at 7:55pm on Sunday 5/25/25 and when I asked for someone to help my grandmother she laughed in a condescending tone and said “yeah l’ll transfer you, then no one picked up”<br>Pure negligence!!! I hate this place! If the management company has any dignity they’ll respond to my review, however, I know that they won’t happen. All they do is collect and neglect. Collect money that is!!!!<br>Prove to me this facility isn’t junk!!!!!!!!!!!!

My grandmother lived in The Stiles apartments for several years and loved it there. During the Covid lockdowns she fell and broke her hip. After surgery etc… we got her into the Village Healthcare for rehab. It was a difficult time since we couldn’t visit her but the facility did a great job of communicating with us about her progress and care. After she completed rehab she did not want to leave the Village and go back to her apartment so we moved her into the nursing home portion of the facility. She is happy here and feels secure. She will turn 102 tomorrow and is looking forward to her party! Every once in a while we’ve had a small hiccup but that is the reality of this type of living environment . If we’ve had a problem I’ve always felt that the staff works hard to fix it!<br>I can highly recommend The Glen system!

The Glen is a great place for your family members! My grandfather received excellent care during his rehab stay. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. I’ve also spent some time volunteering there and have got to meet so many sweet residents. If you are ever considering a place for your loved one, the Glen is the best place for them.
