Ten months after surviving an accident, my son was admitted to The Elms. He was in a fragile condition having suffered a catastrophic brain injury which left him minimally conscious, unable to interact with his surroundings and immobile. His medical needs required much care-a tracheostomy, a feeding tube, changing nutritional needs, a cranial flap with a non-healing surgical wound and chronic infections. Care that many facilities were unwilling to accept. For the next ten months, a new Administrator and his entire staff strove to give my son the best care they could offer. Any concerns on my part were promptly addressed and, if necessary, corrected. Suggestions in hopes of improving his brain function or physical condition were treated with respect and implemented when feasible. His nurses and aides were attentive, knowledgeable, and kind, despite being under- staffed. The entire staff from every dept. was always willing to do whatever was needed for him. The Elms became "family" shepherding our family through this heartbreaking time. Thank each of you for your care, smiles, prayers and hugs.

I am giving the 5 stars for Emily Rosa the nurse unit manager and Marc Tractenberg from the rehab center. The most important thing is that when you leave your visit at the Elms you want to make sure your loved one is well taken of and Emily and Marc exceeded my expectations. Emily went above and beyond and made sure my mom was given the best care and provided everything she needed to make her stay as good as it could be. Marc was caring, compassionate and empathetic checking in on my mom each and every day even if she wasn’t going to rehab that day or he was not working with her. He spent so much individual time with her to make sure her rehab was as good as it could be. I hate to submit something negative but the food service staff was absolutely horrendous and incompetent. They give you a menu at the beginning of the week to choose your meal and day after day meal after meal it was either wrong or missing items. I have complained multiple times but the answer I received was we are working on it. When it’s highlighted no raspberry yogurt and they bring you raspberry yogurt 4 days in a row. When you choose salad and they bring you fish I would say that’s a big problem. If you ask for a chef salad and they bring you a piece of lettuce a cucumber and a piece of ham and call it a chef salad. I hope I have made my point and hope even more that when this is read they replace the entire staff with people that can read and competent.

Took great care of my grandma, she's zooming through the house. Also the discharge service is actually really great, love how they give you the meds to take home. Shout out to Mary for keeping in touch and making sure everything went well after post-discharge.

We cannot say enough good things about the care our loved one is receiving at The Elms. The receptionists are always friendly and greet you with a warm smile the moment you walk in. The staff operates with a level of professionalism and patience that is rare to find. We are especially impressed by how attentive and engaged the team is; they don't just "check-in", they truly connect with the patients. My family and I have a deep appreciation of their hard and dedicated work and the peace of mind they provide our family every single day. Highly recommend!

I want to acknowledge the outstanding support provided by Amy Lubsen, the Regional Director of Admissions and Marketing at the Elms. She has been incredibly helpful with my father, who is currently at Elms Rehab in New Jersey. After his hospitalization, Amy made his transition back to rehab absolutely seamless. Her positivity, professionalism, and constant willingness to help truly set her apart. As a physician/physiatrist practicing in healthcare, I deeply appreciate how attentive, responsive, and hands-on she is throughout the process. Amy is an exceptional leader and an invaluable asset to the Elms. My family and I are truly grateful for everything she has done.
