When I had to get a knee replacement I needed to find a respite to take care of my wife who has Parkinson' disease. I contacted A Place for Mom for recommendations. The Country House first on the list. My wife and I were impressed as soon as we walked in the door. The place was immaculate. The staff was warm and welcoming. The rooms we were shown were perfectly adequate for my wife's simple needs. But just to make sure that we weren't missing out on an even better option we looked at two other facilities. They didn't come close the Country House. So we paid for 2 weeks care with the option of extending if needed. The bottom line is that my wife who vehemently resisted staying in assisted living felt immediately at ease and within a few days she was fully adjusted, made friends with other residents and, most surprisingly, she loved the food! The nurses were attentive to her needs and responded quickly when my wife presses the help button that she given to wear around her neck. With one minor glitch, they provided her 3 times a day with her medications. My wife has difficulty working her cell phone, so they help make calls. It turned out that I needed two additional weeks before I was ready to resume caring for her at home. She was such good hands that I never had to worry about her. That relief was priceless. It is without hesitation that I give The Country House a 5 star rating.

We are very pleased with the Country House. Mom is a recent new resident. The staff and residents have been very welcoming and accommodating to her (and us) during this time of adjustment. Sean Culhane was fantastic in offering a couple of orientation-style visits for Mom. He was also very reassuring to my wife and I as we were extremely nervous about the transition. Sean put our anxieties at ease with his experience and confidence.

After my mom passed away, my dad was left alone rambling around in a too big house. It took us some time but we finally convinced him to try an assisted living arrangement. After much research we settled on The Country House. This was the best decision we ever made! Suddenly dad was surrounded by other residents he could share memories and experiences with; no longer isolated with his old memories. The activities were a godsend; the rooms were clean and attractively decorated. The meals were great. While living alone dad wasn't eating much or well. He has since regained some of the weight he lost while alone. The grounds are beautiful and well cared for. Perhaps most important is the fact that the staff is kind, compassionate, and considerate. We know dad is well cared for and happy. Great job everyone!

If they can manage my mom, they can manage anyone. no exaggeration. I sometimes wonder if my mom's even human. She is that difficult. But the folks here see my mom as perfect. Country House has been an absolute blessing. Having to convince a senior parent that their health needs exceed what your children's capability can provide, well, its an awful topic with lots of tears. The staff made this transition much easier and honestly, I after a few months, I have truly not seen my mom this happy since before my dad passed away. My brother works for the office of the aging and he said County House is the "place to go". You cant put a price on care for your loved one. Especially for one that does not come wrapped in a neat little package. I am forever grateful for all of their service.

The Country House is wonderful. I had experience with three other assisted living facilities with my family members. The Country House is definitely the best! Kudos to the staff who are always Smiling, interacting and welcoming everyone. So very impressed with the loving care given to residents. This is so important as most people who move to assisted living are reluctant to ask for help. The people working here make it clear that not only is it their job but, they’re pleased to meet their needs The food is very good! Meals are varied and there is always alternative items I love the Huge “family room” where there is always something going on for entertainment
