As a senior care professional, I have the opportunity to work with many rehabilitation facilities throughout the Valley. I have been very pleased with the care my clients have received at this facility. The facility is clean, welcoming, and well maintained. The staff is friendly, compassionate, and professional, and they consistently treat patients with kindness, dignity, and respect. It is clear they are committed to providing quality care and supporting each patient's recovery. I appreciate the excellent care my clients have received and would confidently recommend this rehabilitation facility to families looking for compassionate care in a clean and supportive environment.

I am a nurse and a Director of a surgery center. My mother has been at the Center at Val Vista for 6 weeks post hospital stay for kidney stones, she was wheezing when we got there and I brought it up multiple times and they didn't even listen to her lungs until I requested a chest x-ray and they found she had pneumonia and a collapsed lung, they never gave her an incentive spirometer, so I brought one in myself to help her recover. She has been in physical therapy there every week day and still has not progressed over 2 steps, is bed bound 2 person max assist with hoyer lift and the CNA didn't read her chart and got her up in the shower by herself to stand and she fell (surprise) whole leg bruised knee swollen, again, I had to insist on x-ray. I was in changing her diaper one day and all I had to do is lift her one side to get the tabs out and the doctor walked in (Dr Veege I think, Asian descent) and I asked if he could help turn her towards me so I could finish getting the tabs out and he said "no" I asked why since she only weighs about 100 pounds, and he said " I can get an aide for you" Yesterday, they put her in a wheelchair and left her there, I get a call at work that the wound care nurse came in and there was blood on the floor from her foot from trying to put it on the foot pads and now she has her heal open and they will have to do wound care on that. She cannot feed herself and the chart has written bite size food and I also circle it everyday and they bring a full chicken breast not cut up and leave it in from of her for 4 hours from lunch and then document that she's not eating. I reminded the CNA Amanda that and the next day she did the same thing. She eats when I cut up her food but she cannot do that for herself and they are aware. We are moving her to another facility and I am filing a formal complaint with the State. Don't take your loved ones here.

We’ve had to have my mother admitted for in patient therapy several times and this was one of the places she’s done to several times in the last year. Staff is very nice here, from the front desk to the nurses and physical therapy. It’s very quiet which is nice for the patients. They also have some limited activities for the patients and they also bring someone in to do haircuts and manicures which my mom enjoyed. These of course are added costs out of pocket. The only thing we don’t love is that all meals are served in their rooms as they don’t have a central cafeteria or room to share meal times with other patients. Outside of that, we are very pleased of the care she receives when she goes here and of the staff. I do also like that it’s not that “hospital like” feel to it like she had when she went to Banner in East Mesa off the 60 and same for Dignity In Patient Rehab off Chandler Blvd between Dobson and Alma School. Would definitely recommend it.

The staff here (Liz, Bobby, the nursing staff, the PT staff, and my dad's care provider) are awesome. Liz, his Case Worker, was very instrumental in getting the medical equipment he needed. When I asked, she made it happen. My dad always had good things to say about his recent time there (not a compliment easily given by him). In my experience, this has been the best medical/rehab facility he has been to. Keep up the wonderful care you do. Stan Mayo

The whole team at this care center is phenomenal. On March 29th they held a 104th birthday party for my mother, organized by Alexis and Rhonda. They had a sheet cake, balloons, and a lovely gift from Chicos. The best part, nearly 25 staff from all over the facility arrived in time to sing a rousing Happy Birthday to her, with much applause. Mom was thrilled. Such a loving thing to do for one very sick lady. My family and I can not say enough about the amazing team of caregivers at this facility.
