We recently moved our mother to the Blake from an assisted living facility that was rapidly moving downhill. We could not be more pleased and she could not be happier. At the Blake, the focus is all on the resident, not on the corporate bottom line. The apartments are bright and well-apportioned, with tall ceilings and big windows. The dining room looks like a nice restaurant and the food is tasty and well presented. She was greeted by a group of Blake staff (on a weekend!) and presented with welcome baskets. Within 24 hours, the head of maintenance, the nursing staff, and the housekeeping staff had all introduced themselves to her. The executive director and the marketing head were extremely helpful during the transition, making life much easier for all of us. I highly recommend the Blake at Hollingsworth Park.
To say I was reluctant to move my husband into a care facility would be an understatement. I think that might be the hardest decision one person can make for another, and if I was going to do it, I wanted to be sure I was making the right choice for him. In the end, with my family's support, we moved him into Assisted Living at The Blake. The AL side of the facility allows freedom to go in and out at will, and the exterior doors remain unlocked. The apartments are well-appointed and roomy, with large bathrooms and walk-in closets.<br><br>Unfortunately, because he wandered in the evenings “looking for a ride,” it became necessary to move my husband to Memory Care, where the doors are secure. Above all else, The Blake’s priority is the safety of its residents, and the potential for him to leave made the move essential. His new room is the same – large, roomy, and with a beautiful big window.<br><br>The entire staff has been extremely supportive in making the transition as smooth as possible. They listened to my concerns and addressed them promptly, encouraging him to meet new friends and take part in activities. I visit often, and we sometimes have lunch or dinner together – the food choices are excellent.<br><br>The Executive Director, Darrian, along with Sara, Nadia, Vonnie, and Vanity from the leadership team, have all been responsive and professional throughout our experience. While I would rather have him home with me, I am happy we found The Blake when that became untenable.
The Blake at Hollingsworth has been wonderful!<br><br>Our loved one moved into the Memory Care community approximately three weeks ago, and our family has experienced a smooth and welcoming transition.<br><br>The apartment is wonderful, with beautiful natural light, high ceilings, a large walk-in closet, ample living and den space, a comfortable bedroom, and a very spacious bathroom.<br><br>From the moment you walk into The Blake, you and your family become part of the community. Everyone makes you feel welcomed, supported, and loved. From the front-desk receptionist to the maintenance team, including Fred and Mark, our move-in experience was excellent. Everyone was helpful and responsive to our requests and needs.<br><br>The staff members are consistently respectful, compassionate, and attentive to everyone in the community. They are always looking for ways to better know and understand our family member while making his individual needs a priority. We are incredibly thankful for every staff member, including those we have not yet had the opportunity to meet.<br><br>A special thank-you to Lovetta, Lyndell, Grace, Jo, and Marquez. Not only have we noticed your care but our loved one mentions everyday how wonderful and hardworking you all are. You may never fully know how much it means to our family to see how genuinely you care for our loved one. When you care for him, that care reaches his entire family, and we appreciate each of you more than words can express.<br><br>Of course, we may never have gotten through the front door without Sara Johnson and Darrian Pennant, along with the wonderful care and support of Nadia Wardlaw and so many others!<br><br>The Blake at Hollingsworth is a beautiful place to see and to call home, but it is the loving and devoted staff members who make it a true community and create such a strong feeling of family. We are deeply grateful to all of you!
My grandparents recently toured The Blake at Hollingsworth Park, and they had a wonderful experience. They were so impressed with how beautiful and welcoming the community is. The staff was incredibly kind, professional, and took the time to answer all of their questions, making them feel comfortable throughout the tour. You can really tell they care about their residents. Based on their experience, this seems like a fantastic place for senior living. Highly recommend checking it out!
Great place for your loved ones you can not get better care anywhere else in the Upstate. The team there is awesome.
