The place is a dump. The first clue was that the furniture was badly marred up and broken. They missed two doses of my wife's meds that she needs every four hours. The nurses are surly and appear to be overworked. Remember that this is a for profit facility. It is obvious that they place profits over their patients. By the way, we were there for only four hours before I took my wife home.

There are some amazing people here, but unfortunately my dad had a hard time here in his last week. It took us awhile to get him a private room. Once he was in a private room his final nurse was absolutely amazing. We’re so thankful for him. But that was only for his last 24 hours. It was difficult before that to find the right people to advocate for him. There was reluctance or inability to get comfort care started for my dad and the shared room had him dying in the corner of a small room..it was not a good spot. I will have trouble forgiving myself for not advocating for him better and finding the people there who could help sooner.

They left my father laying in feces all weekend after they told my mother she wouldn't be allowed to stay overnight with him. Which led to him having an infection on his back and he ultimately passed away from it. Before you take your loved one to this facility PLEASE THINK TWICE‼️ THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR PEOPLE‼️‼️‼️ and please do not reach out. Yall have told enough lies‼️

I've had several friends stay at NHC Mauldin for short term rehab and have had wonderful experiences. The facility is always clean and the staff provides wonderful care.
