We are so happy to have found The Barclay at Tuckahoe for our mom! From the moment we walked in, looked around and met Meranda, we had a great feeling it. All of the staff have been amazing and really have made our mom feel at home. It is so comforting to know that she is in great hands when we aren't with her. We can already tell a huge difference in her since moving in and we can't thank everyone enough. From the food, to the atmosphere, to the people, five stars for sure!

Updating this review to reflect the new name, Barclay at Tuckahoe, and the new leadership.<br>Top-notch, A+ professionalism and compassion all the way—from the hands-on executive director to the front desk, sales department, business office, dining services, housekeeping and maintenance departments, and those who work in social events, PT/OT, and beyond—each staff person is truly exceptional and goes above and beyond to make this chapter of life meaningful for residents and their families. The facility itself and surrounding environment are clean, inviting, and cared for, which also reveals the level of professionalism and care coming from those who work there.<br><br>Finding the right housing and care for our elderly relatives is not easy. There's so much to consider that the search alone can be overwhelming. But when we found Elance at Tuckahoe, we took special note of happy residents, the cleanliness of the property, and professionalism of the staff. We've received consistent, genuine care from Christy, all the nursing and operations staff, the dining and housekeeping staff, and more. For anyone considering a multi-range senior living community, I highly recommend Elance at Tuckahoe!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐<br><br>Our family will always be grateful for the compassionate care my mother received while living at Tuckahoe of Barclay. From the moment she became a resident, she was treated with kindness, dignity, respect, and genuine compassion.<br><br>The community itself is beautiful, both inside and out. The building and grounds are exceptionally well maintained, creating a warm and welcoming environment for residents and their families. There was always something planned to keep residents engaged, and the activities created wonderful opportunities for families to spend meaningful time together. It truly feels like a community where people are valued and cared for.<br><br>A very special thank you to Silo, my mother's primary aide, who had a remarkable gift for making her smile every day. Those moments of joy meant more to our family than words can express.<br><br>Thank you to Hilda, whose gentle and attentive care helped my mother remain comfortable while always preserving her dignity. Her kindness, patience, and professionalism never went unnoticed.<br><br>And to Alric, thank you for the warmth you brought each day. Singing to my mother while helping her take her medications transformed an everyday routine into moments of comfort, peace, and even happiness. It was such a thoughtful act of compassion, and our family will always remember it.<br><br>What impressed us most was that the staff cared not only for my mother's physical well-being but also for her emotional well-being. They took the time to know her as a person, not just as a resident, and that meant everything to our family.<br><br>Choosing an assisted living community for someone you love is never easy, but if you are looking for a place where residents are treated like family in a beautiful, welcoming environment, I wholeheartedly recommend Tuckahoe of Barclay. Tuckahoe at Barclay is an amazing community. We had our mom under there care and they took great care of her. The community is beautiful inside and out. The staff is even more amazing. They were so attentive to her needs. It's so many staff that made an incredible impact on her stay. Julie, the Director of Nursing was so kind and took time to answer our questions. Helen was always providing us with updates. Hilda was at our mother's bedside when the pastor read her last rights. Janice always had a caring update even as momma was declining. Priscilla, Jessica and Silo were always attentive to her needs. My sister leaves out of town, I live local. We felt so safe knowing we could work and rest well at night knowing she was in great care. Natasha Christian, Executive Director was instrumental in our decision. Every word she told us of what her team was able to do was spot on. The entire community was exceptional.

I know a friend that was there for about 1 yr. He was missing money from there. Do not leave cash anywhere or valuables. Even in the drawers. They will be missing. The place was very clean. Food not all that great.
