Two words come to mind when reflecting on our family’s experience at Syracuse Home: Grace and Dignity. For 26 days, my mother, Norma, received exceptional care, compassion, and support. From the moment she arrived, we knew she was exactly where she was meant to be. The facility was spotless, the atmosphere welcoming, and every interaction reflected a culture of kindness, respect, and genuine concern for the well-being of residents and their families. A heartfelt thank you to Karen, Peg Northrup, Emily, Jennifer from Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy, Sue, our favorite night nurse, and the many nurses, aides, and staff members who cared for Mom in and around Room 307. Your professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail never went unnoticed. You made a challenging time easier, and for that, we are deeply grateful. What stood out most was the understanding that care extends beyond the patient it embraces the family as well. Entrusting the care of someone you love to others can be overwhelming, and the unknown can feel daunting. Yet every member of the Syracuse Home team provided reassurance, communication, and compassion every step of the way. Life is short, and the people we love matter. Thank you for treating my mother with such respect, kindness, and dignity. Syracuse Home should be considered the gold standard for facility management, resident care, and staff excellence. Our family is forever grateful. As a small way of giving back, I look forward to returning with my therapy dog, Thumbelina, to volunteer in an environment that gave so much to us.
