We couldn’t be happier with the care our mom is receiving at Sunset Heights. The staff truly take the time to connect, not just with residents, but with their families as well. Whenever we’re away, we have complete peace of mind knowing she is in a safe and supportive environment. Communication has been outstanding—there’s constant contact through both text and phone, and the management team (particularly Julia Taggart and Amy Haddox) is always open and responsive to any questions or discussions. What really stands out is their compassion and deep understanding of dementia care. It’s clear they genuinely care about each resident’s well-being. The home is always clean and well-maintained, and there are plenty of engaging activities like craft days that keep residents active and involved. They even offer thoughtful extras like hair and nail care. Medication management is handled thoroughly and professionally, which is a huge relief. The leadership also does an excellent job supporting and training caregivers, ensuring a high standard of care across the board. On the rare occasion that a concern arises, it’s addressed immediately and effectively. This home is truly night and day compared to our previous experience—and to top it off, it’s very cost competitive. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for compassionate, reliable care for their loved one.
