I can't say enough about the help I've received from the staff at Sunflower Park. A shout out to Christy, Jasmine, Chad, Hannah, Moriah, and so many more please forgive my memory for names. My mother needed more rehab after a 2nd hospital stay, unfortunately due to her health conditions, she was not able to return to her independent lifestyle, next step, transition to nursing home, which we are in the process of now. 3 weeks in. So happy she was able to stay at the same facility. This is not an easy step for my mother, losing your independence is a major issue for anyone with many emotional rides. She is adjusting, the staff are making her feel comfortable in her new home setting. She is pleased with the staff and her care. Our mothers experience with Sunflower Park has been subpar with her care and with the care team. There resources they had in place for her care was lacking. Due to the lacking of what the facility could not offer, Hospice got involved to deal with her management of care. The standard of care is not being held to the standard. Our mother has been verbally, mentally and physical miss treated by this facility. We will not be recommend Sunflower Park for any type of short or long term care. Our family was very hopeful that with our experience in this very difficult time would of been different. Sunflower Park is in the community we live in and it saddens our hearts that anyone has to go through this below standard of care.<br>Listed a few issues:<br>1.) Low Staff-cant meet the need of the patients/night especially delays in care for patients<br>2.) Recourse- equipment not adequate/supplies<br>3.) Facility- Rooms need Repairs<br>4.) Basic need are not being meet ( bed side potties not emptied. ect)<br>5.) Food- was told the menu comes from corporate, but the food being served in not adequate for patient with diet restrictions nor any other..<br>much more....

Im giving it 1 star because they are not taking care of my mom properly. She looks skinnier everytime I visit her because she's not eating. She does like the food they give her and they cannot accommodate her with her favorite food. Her toe nails look horrible they are ingrown and everytime I ask one of the nurses whats going on they seem clueless. Also everytime I go visit her the front desk is almost always empty and its hard to get a hold the nurses. She also spends the whole day in her room and they dont even bother to take her to the cafeteria to eat with the other people and she does not seem to be going to her exercise classes because everytime we take her to walk when we go out to eat she's always tired and starts crying and complaining that her back and feet hurt. She also claims that her stuff always gets taken like her dr peppers and the candy we buy her so Johnny has to take it to his room so nobody steals her stuff. Sometimes they dont even give her a bath and idk if they are even taking her to her doctor appointments.

I have been In And out of this nursing home, checking it out for myself to see if this could be a good fit for my mom. I have had nothing but care and love from this place. They truly care about your love one. They have gone above and beyond to help me get the care I need for my mom. I highly recommend this place. When you walk in you feel like family and that’s what matters the most is how we can feel about what we do for our love ones!

I called twice, trying to schedule appointment to tour facility placementof family member. First call put on hold 15 min my call was being transferred to the administrator.<br>I calked back and there is no answer. ???
