This was the cleanest Nursing home I've been in, in Morgan County. And some of the staff we interacted with, were very pleasant. I'm pleased that my Auntie is in a great facility. May God bless you all 🙏🏾💙🤎

Summerford is one of the nicest nursing facility that I have the pleasure of visiting. I see them all with my position. The staff is great. The patients are well taken care of. The quality of life that is provided is 5 stars all day long!

They are staffed DANGEROUSLY low. I am actually concerned as to how they have been able to keep the doors open with this little amount of staff. TEN CNA’s in the ENTIRE facility for dayshift is astounding. Just ONE RN for the entire facility. 7 LPN’s. How are they doing 2 hr. rounds, showers, and 3 meals with only 10 CNA’s in the whole building? I bet they want to crawl into a hole!! There are 7 halls. Mathematically..7 halls, &10 CNA’S. So, Only 3 halls would have more than just one CNA for all of 7A-7P. There is no way they can provide proper care to residents with just one CNA on dayshift. Dayshift is the busiest time of day. Nightshift.. there is certainly only one CNA per hall. But, If someone calls in, you’ll be getting an extra hall.. You can easily view these staffing numbers. They HAVE to be posted y at the facility via State. I snapped a pic of it on the clear receptionist window. That’s how I know these staffing numbers. Someone needs to get them some help because the staff they do have probably wishes they could fly far far away.

I would advise family to review Medicare web site for rating . Once upon a time it was a place you wanted your family . Now it is like many others low staff , poor care . Results sadly falls on the patient . Complaints fall on deaf ears . Safety is not on their care list . Our mother fell three times in two weeks . So looks like we shall get state involved. File neglect to Medicare and the state of Alabama.
