Looks are so deceiving!! It looks so nice, new, extremely clean, food is wonderful!!! Tecs are fabulous!!! Then comes the way the place as a whole is ran, horrible!! Please, if you truly care about your loved one do not place them here. Small issues first, the bathrooms in their rooms are shared with 4 people, they are jack & jill baths, & are not wheelchair accessible. No one at this facility, at any extention ever answers their phone. My family has tried to call, her POA has tried to call, her memory care facility has tried to call, as well as the hospital she is currently in, no one could ever get an answer. I don't know how they get residents. They did not give my mom some of her meds that were sent over, removed some, added some unnecessary & gave way too early in the day for sleeping pills, she couldn't stay awake to eat dinner. Her POA had to drive there in order to discuss medication issues. Now for the bigger issue; my mom went out for an out patient surgery. The surgeon needed to confirm whether or not my mom had been given certain meds before surgery. This med regulates the heart, very important to know before being put to sleep. Guess what....no answer. Surgery was delayed over 2 hours, still no answer. Surgical RN tried to call 8 times, my mom's POA tried to call several times, I personally tried to call several times. Last call, administration answered. I explained the problem, he took the phone to a nurse. Her answer to me was "Well, I don't think she got that med this morning, from what I'm reading, but I'm not sure." Really??? So, they could not give the med before surgery because of the uncertainty. My mom had a lot of issues because of this, heart rate went through the roof several times during surgery, oxygen level dropped, later after surgery she had a seizure. Three weeks later she is still in the hospital not doing well. Please please do not take the risk of sending someone you love there. The State of Alabama needs to be contacted to investigate this facility. I personally feel a lot of what my mom has went through is because of their lack of clarity with records & response. Once my mom is hopefully stable, they will be called.

Over the course of caring for aging parents, aunts and others I have visited quite a few rehab and health care facilities. Falkville Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is unique. In the same sort of way, the town of Falkville is unique. There is a warm atmosphere, and the staff are attentive and genuinely caring. The building and grounds are welcoming, clean and comfortable. My brother went there for a rehab stay after having a kidney removed due to a cancerous tumor. He received superior care. He enjoyed the staff, the activities and the food. From the coordination of the referral to the social worker’s help with discharge and referral to Home Health was a great experience for our family. Our brother suffers from dementia also. We are considering placement at this facility in their memory care unit as his condition progresses. We are so thankful to have found Falkville Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center and highly recommend them.

My wife, Jane was in Falkville Rehab for some much needed strengthening. She was doing great and the staff treated her and myself with such great care and compassion. While she was in rehab she had a decline and the nurse Tiffany showed such love and attention to my wife and it didn’t go un-noticed. The administrator, Jane came in there toward the end of her days with us there twice daily to offer myself and our family any support that she could. Falkville rehab is more than a group of workers, it’s a family and that exactly what we needed at that time. I recommend this facility.

My mother was a patient on the memory care unit. I can honestly say that every single staff member was nothing short of wonderful. My mother has now passed but I never shy away from recommending this facility. Thank you to each staff member for all your help!! Thank you Chad for all the admissions help, you went above and beyond! I wish I had names for everyone I had dealing with so I could thank you all. Just know that you made a tough situation so much better with your kindness!!

My grandma was at Falkville Health & Rehab for a few years before she passed, that was 21 years ago. On the anniversary of her death, we checked my dad into the memory care side due to his decline with dementia (the date was a God wink for me knowing it was the right answer). Chad, Mandy and Brianna made it seamless and such an easy transition for us! They were determined to get him in before the end of the week and they kept their word. Since then, I have visited daily (sometimes multiple times a day). I have walked in before breakfast to my dad already enjoying a cup of coffee watching tv as he waited on breakfast to arrive. I’ve walked in to him just getting back from a good shower and was freshly shaved (and to his standard!). I’ve walked in to the staff cutting up with him. Seeing him laugh makes me know this was the best and safest decision we could have made for him. Falkville Health & Rehab has done a lot of updates to their facility and their staff is just top notch. I can’t say enough wonderful things about them and the care they’ve given my precious dad!
