I was very fortunate to have my mother spend the last few months of her life at Sudbury Pines. During every visit, it was evident how much all of the staff truly cared for my mom. I would often stop in to visit unexpectedly and see various different staff caring for my mom and other residents in the utmost professional manner while treating my mom like she was part of their family. During an extremely difficult time in life, Sudbury Pines was there to make the last few months the best it could be. Thank you to all the staff!!

Fantastic! This facility took in my dad with a complicated medical history when no other facility would. Don't be fooled by the dated building. While it doesn't look like the newer, "hotel style" facilities, the care was top notch. Previously, my dad was in a facility in Marlboro with all the so called bells and whistles. It was all smoke and mirrors. They provided horrible care, my dad looked unkempt, he had multiple falls and he spiraled down both mentally and physically. This all changed when he was in Sudbury Pines. He was bathed, shaved and dressed every day. He was well fed. He had no falls. The staff was very responsive to our concerns and requests. The facility does care for patients with a multitude of health problems, some very complex and seeing these high level patients might be off-putting for some. But the quality of care and compassion was evident every day. Our family remains very grateful to all the staff and Sudbury Pines.

I have had several relatives stay at Sudbury Pines over the last 3 years. My uncle was at Sudbury Pines following surgery, he recovered well and had great physical therapy. He is now at home and living independently. The care that impressed me the most aside from the staff's attentiveness was that they took care of all his concerns not just the reason he was sent from the hospital. I do think that was really the key to his success and ability to return home. My mother was also at Sudbury Pines, she had suffered a fall, had an inoperable fracture and was told at Tufts Trauma Center that she would most likely be unable to walk again. This was devastating to her as she was fiercely independent and lived alone. The rehabilitation team at Sudbury Pines worked with her 6 days a week and she was able to discharge home walking with a walker! My aunt was also at Sudbury Pines for long term care and the staff were so gentle and caring towards her. She was blind and was able to learn the staff by their voices. She chose to stay at Sudbury Pines because she felt safe and cared for and made Sudbury Pines her home. The facility is older but it is homey and the staff are genuine. I would highly recommend Sudbury Pines .

I have had 2 family members, age 51 and age 74 that have been cared for at Sudbury Pines for short term rehab. I can't say enough about the qualified, professional, and compassionate nursing and medical care that they received during their stay. My brother and father returned after their illnesses to their homes. We are so grateful.

I cannot find enough good things to say about Sudbury Pines............. They (meaning each and every one of the staff) were so kind and dedicated to helping my husband in his last months of life. They were all very supportive in trying to make his every request happen, they treated him with respect, did EVERYTHING possible to make him comfortable, they hand fed him, helped him wash, dressed him and helped him in every way conceivable. He really enjoyed the attention that was paid to him and in the end, they were there with him and were very comforting to him and to my entire family. I am so pleased that with all that he had to endure in his last weeks of his life, that he was NEVER EVER made to feel bad, only good and loved and pain free. These people truly cared for him and I knew it as I saw it every day. He died peacefully with dignity and I couldn't have asked for more. If I had enough money, I would donate it all to Sudbury Pines so that other families with dying loved ones going through this horrible nightmare can be treated as well as he was and we were. When he passed, I received cards from not only the whole staff, but, from individuals who had spent time in one way or another with him and shared their experience with him (which I truly appreciated as I knew he was being treated even more special even when I wasn't there to see it) I made some new friends there and I will never forget them. They were angels sent from heaven and I wish I could thank each and every one of them. If you are reading this and trying to make a decision where to send your loved one in a hospice situation, PLEASE consider Sudbury Pines. If I ever get to that point in my life, I hope my loved ones send me there as well! Thank you Sudbury Pines for treating my husband and myself and family with the respect that you showed, it's something I will never forget, EVER!! Respectfully submitted
