I am very grateful and appreciative for Stonehill Center for recovery and rehabilitation following my leg surgery at Finley Hospital. I was at Finley for 4 days and was fortunate Stonehill could accept me afterwards. I spent two weeks at Stonehill, including over Thanksgiving holiday, and was treated with respect, genuine care, competency and kindness. From the driver who made the transfer, admission coordinator, nurses, CNAs, OT, and PT, food service, and cleaning I was impressed and thankful for the prompt care, understanding, kindness and simply visiting with me during this time. I thank God we are blessed in Dubuque for a facility like Stonehill. My heartfelt thanks and All my Best to you All! Kindest Regards, Mark

Both of my parents moved to stonehill a year ago, my dad passed away about 6 months after moving in. The staff there were so supportive and helpful to me and my family, but exceptionally supportive to my mom! Tamisha or (Tammy) as my dad called her, was exceptional with the hearfelt attention she gave my dad. Sheila VanGordon, the social worker was unbelievably helpful, and continues to help me with everything! I want to thank all the staff for all their kindness and exceptional care.

Staff is not accommodating for treadmill pool patrons. I was alone in the pool and staff would not set the speed where I needed it to be to get the heart rate that I needed. They have a rigid rule of only setting the speed at whole numbers and half numbers, nothing in between. Depending on where water level is set, this makes a significant difference in heart rate........to the tune of 30 beats per minute for me which is the difference between warm up zone and aerobic zone for me.Don't waste your time going if you are looking for a specific heart rate in the pool. This is just crazy because I was the only one in the pool. Staff refused to come back in a few minutes to check on me When I asked them to possibly come back in and adjust the speed for me. It's not like they were busy at the time at the desk anyway. It was a very slow time at the gym.
