I speak for my whole family when I say we love Stonebridge! Our dad fell and broke his hip in April. Even after several weeks in rehab my dad could not return to Independent Living with my mom. The rehab center recommended Stonebridge to us, so I called Stonebridge and their response was pretty amazing. Wendi, the admissions director, welcomed us warmly and spent all the time with us that we needed to know Stonebridge was the right place. It is one of the only family-run facilities still in existence in the Midwest and thank God for it. The staff is not only professionally competent they are also very obviously emotionally invested in their residents and the families. In more than five months, there has not been a single day that I have walked into Stonebridge to see my dad that I have not been greeted by smiles from the staff, but also waves and greetings from the other residents. There is a loving and kind environment at Stonebridge that warms my heart every time I come. And it's always spotlessly clean! The nurses and physicians are outstanding. My dad has received nothing but excellent care since he arrived. His assigned physician, Dr. Labonte, comes routinely and any time we have had health concerns the nurses and Dr. Labonte have responded rapidly and expertly every time. The OT, PT, and Speech therapists are also outstanding. They are as patient and caring as the nurses and they make my dad’s therapy sessions creative to encourage him to engage. My dad got Covid and we all agreed that my mom shouldn’t come see him until after his quarantine. During that week or two, his primary nurse called me with updates and was always available whenever I called at other times to check in. My dad was cheerful every time I FaceTimed with him, and we routinely talked about how wonderful his nurses are to him. My dad loves his nurses and he tells me they love him, which is so sweet! The social worker, Nancy, is a loving and strong advocate for the residents and families. I didn’t realize how important this job is until I saw over the months how often the residents flocked to her. She has been a great resource for keeping my family aware of even subtle concerns she has with any part of the general well-being of my dad and even my mom since my mom visits my dad a lot. And Susan, the Office Manager, has humbled my family with deep gratitude for the hero’s work she has done getting my dad on Medicaid. For months Susan advocated for my parents and pushed hard to get them through the severely backlogged MO HealthNet system. She gave me frequent updates and spent so much time with me explaining the process, the laws, the rules, etc, as well as her best guesses for the timing of the whole thing. She is just an exceptional person with a giant, caring heart! The only other thing to mention is that the food is actually pretty good. The meals always look well-balanced and healthy and since my mom visits my dad every day she often gets a complimentary tray of food with my dad (the staff is super kind and thoughtful). My mom usually gives me a daily report of what they ate and she gets excited over some of the meals. Stonebridge has been wonderful to my family, and most importantly, to my dad. We are so grateful to have them! I just read the other 5 star reviews and, honestly, we feel the same!

I visited here yesterday. It was immaculate. Every single room was so clean. It smelled fresh. The residents were having a nice time watching Price is Right on a massive big screen TV. All of the staff were so nice. Smiles from everyone. It was just wonderful. So much staff!!! So friendly!!! From Social Workers to dietary, to housekeeping, all so approachable!!!
