I am a resident at the Stillwater nursing home in Bangor Maine. I’ve lived here since October 2024. I moved here from Dexter Maine nursing home because I had to have dialysis and Dexter was not able to transport me, but thankfully Stillwater is able to do that. I really like living at Stillwater nursing home. The staff are very pleasant to be around from the nurses to the CNA’s even to the housekeeper, some laundry and kitchen staff. They’re all very kind. They’re willing to help you and they don’t make you feel like you’re putting them out. The place is really nice and clean, but it doesn’t feel sterile. It’s homie. I feel like the nurses know what they’re doing and we get to feed the doctors as often as we need them. They hear every week which is a big change from what I lived with before so when I’m sick I get treated right away and that’s very nice. The staff in front of us all get along well I don’t see any clicks and you never hear anyone grumble about another staff. It’s a very happy atmosphere here. They have great fun activity here and a beautiful deck outback that we can hang out on in good Weather. They even have flower boxes on it that the residence could help plant stuff in this year. They’re doing flowers and herbs in them. Also, the food here is delicious. They know how to cook a chicken without drying it out in the same thing for pork and they have a good variety of food that they feed us. I’m even happy with the laundry. They take your dirty clothes sometimes they bring them back the same day they’re always back the next day And they’re all nice and clean and they smell good and they’re all hung up for you. I was really scared to come here. I don’t always like change, but I’m so glad that I did. All my experience here at Stillwater nursing home has been wonderful and I would recommend it to anyone

I can't say enough good things about Stillwater and the care provided. My mother has been a resident for over 2 years. Amanda, the manager, has done an amazing job ensuring top quality care and adequate staffing. The staff are wonderful, caring, and dedicated to the overall health and wellbeing of the residents. This is one of the better nursing care facilities that my family has experienced.

When It was time for my sisters and I to find a long term care facility for our Mom, we didn't have to look long, as soon as we walked in to Stillwater Healthcare, we knew this was where we wanted her to be. The staff provide excellent care and it's obvious how much they love their residents, Stillwater has an awesome activity department that keep the residents engaged. The Dietary team serve hot and delicious food, my Mom eats 100% of her meals. The housekeeping staff keeps the facility clean and inviting. The Administrator is out and about and knows every resident by name. Stillwater also has a top notch Therapy Dept. that work wonders with the skilled patients as well as long term care residents, they offer OT, PT, ST and Restorative. I highly recommend Stillwater Healthcare.

After my father died, we had to place my Mother in a home. Stillwater Health Care was the third one she was placed in. Although each home provided care, Stillwater Health has always felt like the perfect place for her. The staff is very friendly! Everyone smiles and is willing to help with any questions or requests. If there is an issue, I always receive a call from the staff. They always show a high level of compassion when answering my questions. I highly recommend Stillwater Health Care!

When I was first considering moving my elderly mother into a nursing facility, I visited Stillwater. The director gave me a tour, and I was impressed that she spoke with residents that we met and knew everyone's name. The facility was very clean and the staff seemed friendly. My mother did move to Stillwater a few weeks later. I found the staff to be consistently helpful and they tried to make her feel welcome and at ease. The director went above and beyond helping me navigate the nightmare that is MaineCare. I would also like to thank Diana, director of social services. She was so friendly and helpful, as was all the caring staff at Stillwater.
