D&C helped our family by providing in-home support services for my 96 year old mother with dementia. The care providers were kind and attentive and developed a healthy bond with my mother. Because of them, mom was able to remain in her home as long as possible. The administrative team was very professional and supportive also. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs help taking care of a loved one.

I have been extremely happy with this agency. They are very good keeping the schedule, sending you notice of when helpers are coming, and with their invoices, which have never been incorrect. They have always been right! I have two people who alternate days here at the house and they are extremely competent, caring, and versatile. They are always willing to take direction from me but they are also willing to take care of a need when they see it. Hiring this agency was probably my best decision in the last year. It has allowed me to have some free time, and basically to stay sane. I honestly don't know where I would be right now if it weren't for them. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs caregivers in the home

D&C Homecare has been overseeing my 95 y/o mother's in home care for the last 2 years. The home care-givers that D&C have provided have done an excellent job watching over my mother and keeping me updated on how she is doing. I live far away from Maine (in Alaska), and need to know that my mother is in good hands between my visits. Continuity of care providers and care providers that my mother likes is very important and D&C has delivered on both. in addition, D&C manages all of my mother health care appointments when I am not in Maine. This has been a huge help in making sure that my mother gets the regular health care that someone in their 90's needs. For elderly people staying in their own homes I highly recommend D&C and the care givers they provide.

My husband received services from D&C Home Care in Bangor for approximately 4 months following a lengthy stay in rehab. With twice daily assistance from D&C he was able to move into assisted living as he was not able to live at home at that time. He needed help with dressing, laundry, and getting breakfast, and some cheery company. Ultimately, he was able to return home. Bob did a great job meeting with us and explaining the services, and kept us posted on the staff scheduled to provide services. I would highly recommend them.

This is from Lewis Payne, the client and funder of services, not his wife who contacted the service originally. 1. Billing was both timely and accurate. 2. Personnel were many and varied. I new ahead of time who was showing up and when. If there were schedule changes I was notified ahead of time. 3. Due to weather and/or personal circumstances I had fewer than 5 no shows in 90 days, that is 180 encounters. I usually was notified but it seems to me there should have been a back up plan. Also if facility staff were notified I would need help that was not communicated to me. 4. Errands needed to be approved by the office prior to service delivery which impeded service levels. Overall if I were in need of help again I would definitely call here first.
