I don’t ever leave reviews, but I was extremely disappointed to hear about the kind of treatment my Aunt is receiving at your facility. Based on what our family has experienced and been told, communication is poor, staff responsiveness is inconsistent, and there appears to be a shocking lack of adequate attention to resident care and safety. We have had serious concerns about how often she is checked on and the overall level of oversight. Her oxygen has been turned off with no one bothering to monitor or correct it, and it feels like no one checks on her at all. I am sure other atrocities have happened that we haven’t even been made aware of yet. As a family, it has been very difficult to get clear answers or feel confident that she is receiving even the basic standard of care she deserves. This experience has left us deeply dissatisfied, angry, and incredibly worried for her well-being. Families place a huge amount of trust in nursing homes, and that trust does not feel respected here at all. I wouldn't recommend this place to my own worst enemy. Avoid Star City Nursing and Rehab in Roanoke, Virginia at all costs.

Would give 0 if possible. They are very unprofessional. They do NOT CARE about there patients, leave them for hours on end even if a call button has been pushed. They accept patients without having approval of there medicine, and so they go ask other residents who take the same medicine to give them that medicine to give to the patient they accepted without having approval of meds for. THAT IS ILLEGAL! The Virginia department of health is being told about this and this place needs to be investigated immediately! Management and etc, should be ashamed!

This facility should be avoided. Our family member was charged $12,000-$14,000 PER MONTH in rehab. An employee changed a wound dressing twice a day for that charge. Hot food couldn’t be served for a time & the “big” meal was a sandwich. None of our Roanoke family will ever go to this place!

I’ve been really impressed with Star City Rehab. The building itself is beautiful, very clean, updated, and just feels welcoming the second you walk in. But what stood out to me the most was the staff. Everyone I interacted with was kind, patient, and genuinely cared about the people there. You can tell they take pride in their work and want residents to feel comfortable and well taken care of. It’s not always easy to find a place that feels both professional and personal, but Star City Rehab does a great job of balancing both. I’d definitely recommend it.

Tamara is the absolute best she definitely has went above and beyond to say the least . The facility is super nice and all the staff there are top notch. The level of care provided is amazing. The entire staff does an exceptional job daily to make sure no need goes unmet.Megan specifically does a fantastic job. My aunt always looks forward to seeing her. We couldn’t say enough great things about Star City. Thank you all for all you do!
