Companion Home Care under owner, Michelle Belton, is a Godsend for my loved one and me especially since I live hours away. They were recommended to me by my LO’s primary care physician. The team Michelle has put together are intelligent, conscientious, and caring at all times. They arrive every day on time, help with necessary life skills, and plan the day with my LO whether it be appointments, shopping, or something for daily enrichment. Sometimes it may be a doctor’s appt or Healing Strides in Boone’s Mill. Every Sunday it is a drive to church. This team included my LO in Thanksgiving, Christmas, and even Halloween for fun. They cleared and salted the sidewalk on one bad weather day. The open communication between Michelle and her team, and with me, is complete. I am always kept informed. I don’t know what we would do without them.

I first met Michelle Belton in 2016 when my husband underwent knee replacement surgery. At the time she was just starting Companion Home Care and provided deeply personalized support. I was overwhelmed caring for my husband while also managing the everyday responsibilities of running a household, and Michelle stepped in with initiative, sensitivity, and genuine compassion—often recognizing what was needed before I even knew to ask. When my husband suffered a fall this past October, we reached out to Companion Home Care again. Michelle’s business has grown significantly since those early days, yet the integrity and care she brings to her work has remained the same. Michelle has a rare sensitivity when it comes to elder care. She understands how vulnerable this stage of life can be and ensures those in her care are treated with dignity, patience, and genuine compassion. She took the time to truly understand my husband’s needs before thoughtfully matching him with a caregiver who could support him not only physically but as a companion as well. The support Companion Home Care provides goes far beyond basic assistance. Having help with household tasks, transportation to medical appointments, and meaningful companionship has been invaluable—not only for my husband, but also for me as his caregiver. Trusting someone with the care of a loved one is one of the most important decisions a family can make. Michelle and her team bring both the wisdom and the heart needed to do this work well, and I am deeply grateful for the support they have given our family.

The wonderful and caring caregivers took care of my Mom for 4 years before she had to go to a higher level of care due to her Dementia. Michelle hires excellent people that have the experience, compassion and patience required to support a person dealing with this terrible debilitating condition. This care allowed my family to love Mom and continue in their roles as in-laws, children and grandchildren rather than caregivers. Best of all, Mom was able to stay in her home and continue with her hobbies with help from her caregivers. She has always been known for her decorating and having a beautiful garden. It is heartbreaking to watch people you love lose so much of themselves through this disease. Michelle and her team made the process much easier to handle.

I contacted Michelle to assist my dear friend who lived alone and was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Michelle and her team members Kristin and Sondra were amazing! They lovingly cared for my friend as if she was their own family. Her final months were filled with the best care possible. I would definitely call on Companion Home Care should I need assistance in the future.

Michelle with Companion Home Care is my hero. Her knowledge and insight while working with my Dad who has Alzheimer's was a God send. Her tireless dedication and enthusiasm helped me to be able to keep my Dad in his own home longer. Michelle became like family. There was no situation that she was not able to handle with compassion and determination. Michelle was everything we needed her to be and more. I will be forever grateful that we chose Companion Home Care Inc in our time of need.
