Grandmother has been a resident for 5+ years in the patio homes. Had to be moved to rehab for an issue. She was recently admitted to the hosptial, with bedsores. Thats the type of care you will get with Richfield.

This place is a joke. They did not take care of my grandmother at all. They never bathed/cleaned her, she would be in the same clothes for DAYS, never helped her eat (which she struggled to do), never trimmed her nails and never cleaned her nails, never wiped her face and THEY STOLE HER JEWELERY FROM HER WHEN SHE PASSED AWAY!! Our family went in to gather her belongings from her room after she passed and her jewelry boxes were EMPTY! Years of jewelry passed down from generations and it's gone. WHO DOES THAT?! Terrible staff, rude, neglectful THIEVES. Everytime we walked in to visit her all the "caregivers" were on their personal phones sitting down doing nothing ignoring all the residents OR nowhere to be seen. Avoid this place at all costs. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE! High price for such a low quality of care! They horribly neglect residents and no one deserves the this type of treatment! But they were sure to take every dime of your money!! It’s worse than a prison. Prisoners get treated better than residents here! Absolutely disgusting. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would.

My mom spent her last days in this uncaring disorganized facility. We actually moved her back to her assisted living before her passing were she got better care and attention. Had we left her at Richfield she would have been set aside and left alone to pass without any attention. As some staff were helpful most were NOT. I got more information and insight of what was going with the condition of my mom from agency nurses that were there for brief stints then those assigned to this facility on a regular basis. As I would go visit my mom I would observe how other residents in the facility were treated and it wasn't good. I could walk down the hall and hear staff talk about residents in a negative way. It was if they were bothered to be there. Alot are in the wrong line of work and need to go. If they want to talk they should do it were others are around to hear. The therapy at Richfield has a lot to be desired especially physical and occupational therapy. But I have to give praise to the speech therapist. She was awesome and tried hard to work with my mom when the others gave up and threw in the towel. The atmosphere of the facility is very depressing and gives off a none caring vibe. I would definitely say if your looking for a faclity for a loved one needing rehab, Richfield is definitely NOT the place. LOOK ELSEWHERE!!

My mother has been a resident for the past 9 months of the LTC unit. She has dementia and her overall care is quite excellent! Any issues are handled promptly..As a family our only complaint is the visitors parking lot frequently has employees parking there and that makes it very difficult for my brother who has severe lung disease to walk up the hill... Parking is a problem that needs addressing..many of these advanced elderly patients have elderly children visiting! We would think that 20-45 yr old staff could walk up!

My grandmother spent the last couple of months of her life at this facility while battling the final stages of ALS. While a few staff members showed compassion, most were disorganized, uncooperative, and unwilling to work with our family—even as we advocated for her comfort during hospice care. One staff member even showed visible attitude while we were pleading for basic pain relief. She was in clear distress and was repeatedly denied the pain medication she had been prescribed. I don’t think I’ll ever forgive the way she was made to suffer. I would never recommend anyone receive care from this facility while experiencing a terminal illness. No family should have to endure what we did.
