I rarely leave negative reviews, but families deserve to know about our experience. The biggest disappointment has been the lack of accountability from nursing and the owners. . Repeated concerns about my parents’ care have been brought to the attention of supervisors and upper management, yet we have received little response and no meaningful resolution. Families should never have to fight to have their loved one’s basic needs addressed. The quality of care has been inconsistent. My father has experienced multiple falls, follow-through on care plans has been poor, pain management concerns have not always been addressed, and meaningful recreation and resident engagement have been lacking. Communication with families is inadequate, making it difficult to advocate for those who cannot always advocate for themselves. While there are a few exceptional caregivers who truly care, they are carrying the weight of a system that, in our experience, is failing many residents. If you are searching for a nursing home where your loved one will receive consistent, compassionate, and proactive care, our family’s experience does not give us confidence in recommending this facility. Every resident deserves dignity, safety, proper nutrition, meaningful activities, and a management team that responds promptly when concerns are raised. I hope this review encourages leadership to take responsibility, listen to families, and make the changes necessary so that other residents receive the quality of care they deserve. Dissatisfaction-10. 😳

The review is from family member of the resident who was recently admitted to our facility: " Dear, Anna My Mother was admitted to the Care Center on Saturday evening , shortly before an enormous snow storm. She arrived from Yale New Haven that evening; I received a message from SCC shortly thereafter, assuring me that my mother had arrived safely and that she was well settled. It was chaotic time and I appreciate that the RN Felicia , I think -contacted me in a timely manner. Since then, I have noticed how attentive and caring everyone on staff , yourself included. You have made it a point to check in on my mother, going so far as to learn she is Catholic and to ensure that she is Catholic and to ensure that she had opportunity to attend Mass on Thursday afternoon. Additionally, you have been generous with your time: you introduced me to Miss Lubin (who is helpful in securing transportation for medical appointments) and you also made sure that I had RN Supervisor's cell number in case I had any questions. Everyone I've met, and everyone who has worked with my mother , has been professional and kind. Therapist, Emma and other therapists are thorough and patient. The nurses are as well, making sure that she is stable and comfortable. everyone has been friendly and helpful. A Shout- out to Nadine with whom I spoke the first weekend as well as yesterday. Not only does she have an excellent memory, she also has a generosity of spirit that is a balm. Thank you, and to everyone at Stamford Care Center , for all you are doing for my Mother. We are eternally grateful."

This place might've changed the name/owners but nothing on the inside has changed. If you're not checking on your family member daily, I wouldn't risk sending them here. Especially if they cannot speak up for themselves! If you're going to send your loved ones to a rehab/nursing facility, let it be Nathaniel Witherell in Greenwich. The difference between the two is astounding.

The nurses were friendly, very attentive, and answered all the questions I had about my mother’s condition and medication carefully and so I could understand. They even called the doctor from another floor so I could meet her (when I had arrived to visit just after she had done her rounds - and the doctor came back to speak with me). The facility is clean and bright with beautiful pictures on the walls. The physical therapists are motivating and gentle with my mother and she has really improved since arriving.
