St. Paul's Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation

St. Paul's Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation is a 24-hour skilled nursing community located near Downtown San Diego, just a few blocks from Balboa Park. It is a boutique 59-bed center providing round-the-clock licensed nursing and rehabilitation services with an individualized care plan for each resident.

Care includes assistance with activities of daily living along with physical, speech, and occupational therapy delivered through an in-house therapy center. The community accepts residents for both short-term and long-term care, and every resident has access to the full suite of amenities and services. Hospice care is also offered in the form of 24-hour skilled nursing, which can be integrated with a local hospice agency.

Staff are trained to attend to residents' mental, emotional, and spiritual needs in addition to physical care, taking time to learn individual preferences. Recently remodeled in 2018, the community was designed to feel like a home away from home.

Residents can choose between a private or semi-private room, each with individual climate control, a restroom, privacy curtains, and cable TV. Dining options include eating in the dining room or receiving meals in one's own room.

A full calendar of activities is offered, including live music, local outings, and exercise classes. The community accepts Medicare when applicable and keeps an allotted number of beds open for Medi-Cal recipients.
