The accident today landed me in the ER, and I have to say, the hospital team was incredible. From the doctors to the nurses and all the staff, they displayed amazing professionalism, compassion, and care throughout my treatment.

I was recently diagnosed with ALS and I'm unable to see a care team at a real clinic until this clown-show of a non-profit processes my referral paperwork. I'm losing strength everyday that I will not get back. My only hope is that I can slow the disease with a drug, but I cannot get that drug until this poor excuse for an organization can assemble a handful of papers and fax them to the Mayo Clinic. My insurance paid out more than $33,000 to unity point (a "non-profit") for just tests while I was in the ER. I thought my doctors were doing the best they could, so I don't blame them, but I do blame this poorly run organization for their terrible management and my irreversible nerve damage.

My mother in law had a heart attack and ended up on hospice care. While there were quite a few who did not do a great job at explaining what was going on or walking us through the process, there were two great nurses and this is for them. Erin, ICU . She made sure to come in frequently, explain what they were doing, and update frequently. She was overnights. Amber. 3rd floor. SUPER attentive, very efficient, and knew how to prioritize care while being empathetic. Being a nurse myself, we understand that we can't always be there at all times as we sacrifice time with our families to be there for others. I felt very comfortable leaving my mom in law and husband with Amber. You just knew she knew what she was doing and was educational while sympathetic. Thank you both for making our experience a decent one while keeping Sue comfortable. We appreciate you and what you do so much.

This ER is the absolute worst. Im a high risk pregnancy with twins and sat there screaming in pain and still didn’t get help. Was told to breathe and wait. Told them I couldn’t feel one of my twins move and nothing was a concern. Wasn’t even given fluids until I was screaming at the nurses. No one communicates there. Not one person made me feel heard or comfortable. Absolutely would never recommend this ER OR ANY DOCTOR there. Dr Aldrich is the only doctor there I trust with my care and I will NOT return unless she is the doctor I will be seeing. This emergency room needs to be evaluated by someone higher up to actually help patients rather than allowing them to lay there for hours in pain. I have never been so pissed and frustrated. I left and am seeking treatment elsewhere. DO NOT GO HERE

This hospital has its ups and downs! My son and mother were both hospitalized at the same time, and while my son received fantastic care from amazing staff, my mother’s experience was a little different. But overall, they were in capable hands! It’s just how things go in any large facility—you’ll find both stellar and average staff members. The hospital itself was clean and was quite busy. We did have to wait a bit in the emergency room, which was a bit nerve-wracking given my son’s serious diagnosis. It made me wonder about their triage efficiency. At one point, I reached out to the patient advocate office because I was worried about my son's care. Despite those challenges, everything turned out well for both my family members, and I am truly grateful for the wonderful staff who genuinely cared for them! I would not hesitate to return in case of an emergency. The emergency room staff was wonderful, once my family members were seen.
