My brother has been at St.Joseph’s Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for several weeks now and he told me that with the exception of a couple people they take care of him and he specifically mentioned Amy,Kimberly and Lauren as well as the other girls and guys in the therapy department are great. He told me that they have activities for the residents and they are planning on some gardening for the residents to do as well. I am happy that they keep the residents involved and doing things together. That is therapy for the residents as well both physical and mental therapy. I was worried about how rehabilitation would be this time as another rehabilitation he was in over a year ago was not as good he told me. I moved from Massachusetts over a year ago so but my other brother lives near St.Joseph’s so that I can be kept updated on how he is doing as well as talking to him on the phone. I also follow St.Joseph’s Rehabilitation on Facebook and saw a couple of pictures of my brother that they posted when they had shamrock shakes for St.Patrick’s Day and he looked happy.

My mother died at this facility. We were never notified. We got a call after the fact although they knew she was in bad shape. The Executive Director's response was "I'm sorry for your loss" after my family asked numerous questions surrounding her death. She never responded to any questions. The staff does not follow dietary guidelines. The breakfast was not even rarely warm. I have been there when my mother didn't get her dinner and I would let the staff know and hours later, nothing. It's a disgrace.

I am a patient at St Joseph's and I'm telling you this is the best place I ever came to I'm glad they sent me here because they have so many people here that care so much about you and so much about your care they help you they give you encouragement and most places don't do that but I recommend anybody that's going to go into rehab to come to this place

Today I just went through an argument with Diane at the 3rd floor. I was calling them because my mother's transportation didn't want to pick her up at the 3rd floor of the hospital. My mother has been waiting for over 3 hours there, she is diabetic, she has multiple illnesses, she is wheelchair bound, and with poor vision. I don't understand the reason this person got an attitude when I was trying to let her know what it is going because I am not near Boston if so I would take her and bring her back as I has done before however NURSING is making the appointments at a time that I am working or dealing with everything else that is going. I asked to speak with her supervisor and she hanged up on me I called again and ask for the charge nurse but nobody pick the phone and the voice mail is full.

Please do not put any loved one in this place. My mother was in there and I begged for them to get her fluids and oxygen and was told by a male nurse that he called the doctor 3 times but didn't hear back because it was a Sunday. I told the male nurse I was going to call 911 but he said they wouldn't come because her vitals were fine. My mother passed away 7 hours later without ever receiving the fluids or oxygen she desperately needed. My niece had gone to get her belongings and they gave her another patient's things. She finally got most of her things but many things were missing. I was her proxy and didn't get a call about her passing until 9 a.m and the vm stated please call back about your mother but she's ok. Imagine? She had already passed .She passed at 5: a.m This place is a disgrace and I contacted the Governor and Senator Warren so this does not happen to anyone else. Also she had dinner and asked for tomato and mayonnaise and I had gone directly to the kitchen and I was told the delivery hadn't come yet. So I could not believe there was not one tomato or mayonnaise in the building. It may sound foolish but literally ridiculous that they didnt have either item. I had to go to the corner store for both. It might be petty but it's ridiculous on there end. They never followed my mother's diet of no salt. I wouldn't put a dog in this place. Please do not because your loved one just might not come home due to negligence.
