St John Neumann Place

St. John Neumann Place is an affordable senior housing community located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, serving low-income seniors ages 62 and older. Housed in a renovated South Philadelphia archdiocese high school building, the community offers 75 one-bedroom apartments designed with accessibility and independent living in mind.

Each apartment features a full kitchen with refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, and garbage disposal, along with bathrooms equipped with assistance bars, medical emergency pull cords, and low-rise tubs or showers. The community includes a medical screening room for visiting doctors and health care workers to support residents' health needs.

The community is situated near Vare Recreation Center and surrounded by green spaces and parks, providing residents with access to outdoor amenities and neighborhood resources. St. John Neumann Place is adjacent to St. John Neumann Place II senior living community.

Residents are permitted to keep common household pets in their apartments, and service or assistance animals are also welcome. Pet rules are in place to maintain a safe and sanitary living environment, including guidelines on registration, inoculation, waste disposal, and restraint in common areas.
