I placed my dad there when he could no longer live at home alone. While he was not happy not being home, the staff at SFV took excellent care of him. The facility is very clean and Chef prepares great meals. His fried chicken is the BEST! My dad’s room was large enough for his needs and had a small kitchenette with a small fridge for leftovers when we took him out. Their activities included bingo, trivia (my fav),happy hour, trips to eat, exercise class, ice cream socials, etc. Their Mardi Gras Ball is also so much fun! Communications with the nurses and staff was also an important thing for me. They ensured he took his meds and encouraged him to walk more than he wanted. My dad has passed but I still volunteer there as often as I can. Also, as an emergency manager I can say they are up to date on all regulations and the fire dept is directly next door. I highly recommend SFV!
