When you first walk into the building, yes it's older but don't let that fool you, the staff there now is friendly and caring , I have worked at those new beautiful homes but the love an care does not compare to here at St. Elizabeth

Everyone here is like family. Great staff. Great management. Everyone here goes above and beyond. Great care is given to the residents.

This facility transferred my daughter, refused to take her back after suffering a blood clot in her brain from which she complained of headsaches for weeks and accused her of drug seeking. She has been gone well over 6 months and they still will not return her shoes, clothing, pillows and bed comforter. Such a dishonest, unprofessional facility.

My daughter was a resident here for a few months. At first we had thought it was a nice place. But my daughter didn't receive the care she should have. The lady in charge broke patient privacy laws. And my daughter begged to be sent to the hospital the entire time she was in their care, they would not, kept telling me, her mother, she was drug seeking. Needless to say she had to throw a fit and have a behavior to be sent to the mental hospital, where they did brain scans and sent her to Barnes hospital in St. Louis due to her having a blood clot in her brain and a partial stroke. This place is incompetent and they do not care for the residents. My daughter after two weeks in the hospital was sent to another facility. The other facility had to drive up to St Elizabeth to get her possessions and they kept her personal pillows, blankets, some of her clothes, shoes and DVD movies. This place should be shut down.

Do not even consider leaving your loved ones in this facility. When I was taking a tour of the facility the conditions were horrible. One little resident kept asking me to help her that her nurses P. and B.J. not only didn’t do her finger stick as ordered but then made up a number and wrote it in the book the told her if she tattled she would be given pills to shut her up. She further added that the next night she was forced to take four sleeping pills by B. J.against her will but cheeked them and spit them out after she left the room. The nursing supervisor, administrator, no one did anything to help the woman. I did all I knew to do which was make a hotline call. I hope she will be ok. I felt sick. What a disgusting hole in the wall. How can these nurses be allowed to practice? The lady was genuinely fearful. I hope someone gets to the bottom of this. No one deserves to live in fear of the very people in charge of your life. This little lady was alert, oriented, made no variation in her story. The last thing she asked me was “”What will happen to me tonight”.
