My name is Shirley Patin and my dad, Earl, is a resident at St. Agnes Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana. The facility truly feels like home and the staff treat residents like family. Special thanks to Gretchen Gates (Assistant Administrator), Joanie Malueaux (QA Nurse), Alexis Barras (Nurse), Janesha (Nurse), Trisha (Transportation Driver), and Skye (Activity Coordinator) — they are the best. They answer questions clearly and patiently, no matter how big or small, so you don’t need to be a lawyer or doctor to get the right information. Thank you to the entire team for making the residents feel safe, comfortable, and at home.

If I could give no stars I would! My father was placed in here. He got sick with pneumonia and they ignored his illnesses! His legs were dying literally and they ignored that to! Dad was brought to hospital dying! Hospital said st Agnes was at fault! My dad needed legs amputated but couldn't bc he was dying! His organs were shutting down he couldn't breathe! They shaved his Beard off without his consent! He was very malnourished the hospital said! He couldn't feed himself etc. He died a week after going to the hospital in hospice care! DO NOT send your loved ones here please don't!

Worst EVER!!! Administration is not interested in finding solutions, very argumentative!!! I asked to talk to the DON about the issues I had with my family member, and he brings a CNA “supervisor”, whom was more interested in bring up the fact that my family member (whom is in her 70’s) had allowed herself to get into a bad situation prior to her hospital admit, than she was in discussing a plan of care, which is not surprising giving her limited education. Unfortunately my attempt to communicate to them my concerns constructively failed due their defensiveness, refusal to listen to and HEAR, my concerns, and the administrators obvious innate trait to engage in conflict versus us being able to establish a comprehensive, collaborative plan of care for my family member.

A patient whom gets around on her own once told me.....If you can do for yourself, St. Agnes Nursing Home is good....but the ones who can't do for themselves....it isn't good...she said she saw things she really didn't like like...As far as ALZEIHMERS WARD...there are girls that are great in there but I have seen 1 CNA with her head down and she was on her phone....WHY DO YOU NEED A CELL PHONE ON YOU IN A NURSING HOME SHOULDN'T THAT STAY IN YOUR LOCKER....as far as clean sort of...I tell you if you don't go check up on your people everyday/every other day...You will be surprised...When you take on this job...you are taking care of other people's MOTHER/FATHER/AUNTS/UNCLES/GRANDMA/GRANDPA...come on we can do better then this....if you don't like your job just quit......
