About Spindletop Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center

Spindletop Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is a skilled nursing and long-term care facility in Beaumont, Texas, with a licensed capacity of 148 residents. The community includes a Memory Support Unit and offers physical therapy and rehabilitation services.

Family experiences at Spindletop are sharply divided. Many families praise the staff warmth and engagement, particularly highlighting individual caregivers like Natalya H., Karen Collins, and activity director Chandra, who families describe as compassionate and attentive. Families note that the facility celebrates holidays, organizes game days and activities, and maintains a clean, welcoming environment. One family wrote, "walking into Spindletop Hill was a breath of fresh air." The Memory Unit receives specific commendation for staff dedication, including working double shifts during absences.

However, several families report serious concerns about personal care and responsiveness. Multiple reviewers describe residents left in soiled conditions for extended periods, delayed responses to call buttons, and missed meals. One family noted calling the office took 15 minutes to reach anyone; another reported their father left in a wheelchair for 12 hours without changes. These accounts suggest inconsistency in day-to-day care delivery.

Chandra activity director and Kallie assistant director are excellent! Holidays are beautifully celebrated and decorated. Game days are a blast! They even provide manicures at no cost for residents. This just names a few things they do, but the best part is the love and joy the contribute. Words cannot express my gratitude for them👏

I am incredibly grateful to the staff and especially Natalya H. for helping me through what could have been a very overwhelming time. She went above and beyond to help get my father admitted, guiding me through every step of the process with patience, compassion, and clear communication. From the first phone call with Natalya H. I felt supported and reassured. She took the time to answer all of my questions, explained paperwork and timelines, and truly treated my father with dignity and respect. It made such a difference to know he was in caring and capable hands. I can’t thank her enough for her professionalism and kindness during a stressful transition. I would highly recommend this nursing home to any family needing support and compassionate care for a loved one. Roslin R.
