I'll take you on a tour of Southwind. When you drive up to the parking lot of Southwind you'll get a big smile on your face. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. When you walk in you will notice how clean it is all through the facility. You might see people working on puzzles. Turn left and you will see the living room. Depending on the time of day there will be 1-7 people watching TV or reading papers. As you face the living room, you will see the dining room. They have delicious food . You can eat with your resident, if you let the cook know ahead of time! As you walk across the living room towards the dining room, turn right. This is the nursing charting area and the public restroom is nearby. You will come to a T. If you turn left this leads to the Assisted Living rooms. Turn right and you will see the Leadership offices and the front door you came in. The Leadership Team is caring and listens to every one. They will find a solution to any problem. Another thing I truly appreciate is how everyone interacts with the residents. You will see other people including the cleaning people helping the residents. There are a variety of engaging activities everyday. Some of the favorite ones are Bingo, Cornhole, Noodle Ball, Trivia with Judy. It is a treat when school kids come and do activities with the residents. The local dancing class puts on a program too! My husband has been a resident of Southwind for 3 years and based on that personal experience, I find Southwind to be a high quality facility with a caring, professional staff. I appreciate all they do for him!
