I had hip surgery in late September and was at our Manor of the Plains for 2 1/2 weeks! Already wrote a review in which I stated how satisfied I was! Now my brother has been there for almost 2 months! Their care of him has been the greatest! He is disabled and sometimes hard to deal with but they handle him with the utmost integrity!! They also are very good at keeping me informed about him!!I have also enjoyed reconnecting with many staff that helped take care of me!!!

After hip replacement, my mother had to stay here for several weeks in the medical care part (i.e., typical nursing home) . Not being from Dodge, I knew nothing about Manor and feared the worst. On the contrary, my mother had a wonderful time. The interior had been recently renovated and looked much more like a hotel or spa. The patients / residents were generally happy and well-adjusted. There were just enough activities to keep things interested. The food was very good and well prepared, especially the desserts and even for a 20-year old palate. There were additional on-site services like the physical therapy room and a beauty salon. But in particular, the staff were kind, patient, easy to work with, and most importantly, present. I doubt much goes by unnoticed or ignored. It's unfortunate when someone needs nursing home type care, but I would be comfortable wigh a family member or myself staying here if/when that time comes.

Such a wonderful place. The staff are happy and so very kind. Most importantly, the residents are always doing new, fun things. I so appreciate Manor of the Plains and all they do for the elderly in our community.
