Unfortunately, I have nothing positive to say about this place but go at your own discretion and watch your family member like a hawk. Dirty rooms, dirty diapers and they lost my family members urine test sample when she had a uti they had to re do it. Plus many other errors.

My aunt had a stroke an she had to go live here at southmont. Before then she had diabetes, lost a couple toes. So I cooked her breakfast , lunch and dinner. Did all things around house ppl gotta do. I lost my car coz I dint work as much to take care of her. She passed in October 2025 this place never called me to tell me she past. I found out when certain things came in the mail so that’s how I found out. I couldn’t get up there coz I had no car. I tried to call and ask them questions. They said sorry can’t help you! Do not if, if you love someone leave them at this place. Most uncaring place I ever saw!!

Poor care. My father fell out of bed MULTIPLE times because they wouldn't use the side rails for safety. The side rails weren't attached to the bed. We implored them to use them to keep him safe. I feel the patients don't get great care and if they don't have family members advocating for their care; they are left to fend for themselves.

The aides left my dad in dirty diapers for hours and called him lazy. He was recovering from sepsis and having a spacer placed in his left knee joint. This was several years ago, and now I have another bad experience. I accidentally paid Southmont instead of paying the nursing home where my dad is at the moment. He is on Medicaid now, though he was on private pay when he was at Southmont. I understand that we still owe money to Southmont, but my dad has been on Medicaid pretty much this whole time and I have made small payments instead of letting it default with the plan to pay them when my dad returns home or we have to sell the house. Anyway, even though I told Southmont right away about the mistake and asked for them to return the money which is supposed to go to the other facility, they refused. Religious affiliation? I’d say in name only.
