I want to recognize Lola, the Director of Activities at South Elgin Living and Rehab Center, for truly going above and beyond for the residents. It’s clear that she genuinely cares about their well-being and takes the time to connect with each person on a personal level. I was especially impressed by how dedicated she is to making sure residents are informed and supported when it comes to their voting rights—something that shows how deeply she values their voices and independence. You can tell the residents both like and trust her, which says a lot about the positive impact she’s making every day. Facility is under rehab as well

Very disgusted with this facility as it claims to file for bankruptcy, another ownership. I only cared for 2 staff members that did their job well. Beyond that not a good facility to leave your loved ones. Food is horrible as well. patients cannot get a second plate. Tv goes out and nothing to watch. I donated a lot of DVDs and nowhere to be found.These seniors citizens deserve better care.

I wish I could give this place ZERO stars. DO NOT SEND YOUR FAMILY MEMBER HERE! These people are neglectful, rude, shady and do not care about the residents at all. The place is always filthy, the food is awful. One time I came to visit my brother and an “employee” was sleeping at the table next to the entrance. The administration has done nothing but try to paint my brother out to be a bad person when he isn’t. Told me straight to my face that they didn’t want him and neither did any other facility. This place is horrendous and makes me sick! We thought with a new company taking over it would be a better place. NOPE. These people need to go to a more caring place, I wish I could do that for them. The entire staff is toxic. Just sad

Do not put your family member in this place.!!!!!! Zero stars deserved. My mom was here for 94 days. She’s now been moved. And was private pay. Horrible care. In 30 days she was hospitalized 3 major times due to their horrific care. Place does not take care of their residents. Residents are dirty, facility is filthy and all their personal belongings disappear and they do not care. Most horrific nursing home anywhere.please believe all the 1 star reviews. They are accurate.

No rehab, you would think to work there someone would be wanting to encourage, give advice and actually work with a patient. Dont trust what they say to get you in there cause its all about money.The therapist woman is lazy always on her phone or computer even if a client is present. They change your doctor without telling you, the doctor doesn't even do a one on one. He comes in once a month and checks your heart rate. Hilarious they allow just that alone in the facility. They change your medications as well without notifying. Dump! I personally would not want my loved one there.
