My mom has been there for 1.5 years. Since they got bought out by a corporation it has gone so far down hill it’s not even funny! They leave my mom in a soiled diaper causing her a UTI and a 103.2 fever. They leave her in bed and my mom can’t reach her phone, her call button or her water! Do not send your loved one there if you truly love your loved one. The hard part is all of my siblings are out of state as am I. I fly from several times a year to see my mom and make sure she’s getting g proper care, she is not. My mom is 90 and can’t walk so if I want to move her it a bit difficult. As with most patients with dementia, they do not like change my mom is no exception. Their main staff is no longer there and they have contract workers coming in to help. Most of them work double shifts. That’s not good because when you’re tired and drained you can’t give good care.

Terrible, neglectful, understaffed, no linens, runs out of food, no wipes. Ran by nurses with education and no common sense. All them degrees and can't keep supplies and staff. Plenty of education and ego, no empathy and bedside manner. Unsafe nursing practices and little to no continuity of care.

My mother reports the patient care exceeds the previous nursing home, (Spring Brooke) in Clayton that she had stayed at prior. The food is definitely better and you can tell they have a good dietitian. The PT is so more organized and the staff are actually around to help. Can't wait to see the remodel change the atmosphere. Great job Smithfield Manor and thank you for providing excellent care to our mother!

I can’t say enough great things about Smithfield Manor! The care here is absolutely exceptional — you can tell every member of the staff truly loves what they do. They’re kind, attentive, and always go above and beyond to make residents feel comfortable and valued. The facility is clean, welcoming, and really feels like home. It’s such a relief knowing our loved one is surrounded by people who genuinely care. Highly recommend Smithfield Manor to anyone looking for top-notch care and a compassionate team!
