Personal Care

Our personal care program is for seniors who wish to live independently but require some daily assistance with tasks such as bathing and dressing. Included in personal care are valuable services such as management of medications, appointments, and transportation.

Simpson House offers studio and one-bedroom senior apartments with personal care services in two neighborhoods, Carson Commons and Wesley Commons. These specially designed neighborhoods are easy to navigate, maximizing freedom.

A casual dining room, activity areas, and cozy living rooms add to the charm of our intimate, family-style setting. You’ll feel right at home in your private apartment, a personal retreat that features temperature controls, a private bathroom, and spacious closets. Memory Support

For seniors living with memory impairment, the Comfort Haven memory support wing at Simpson House provides a secure, close-knit setting with compassionate care that enables self-sufficiency and dignity.

Our thoughtful and attentive staff is specially trained to meet the unique memory care needs of individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Our structured program combines plentiful opportunities for enrichment and assistance with the tasks of daily living. Residents enjoy apartment-style living in personal suites, with nourishing meals, engaging activities, and individualized care plans.

Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation

For Philadelphia-area adults needing short- or long-term nursing and rehabilitative services, the Flanagan Health and Rehabilitation Center at Simpson House provides a full range of skilled nursing care and specialized therapies. Our person-directed, wellness-oriented approach factors residents’ health, well-being, and happiness into decisions.

Rehabilitation Services

For adults in Greater Philadelphia recovering from surgery, illness, or injury, Simpson House offers rehabilitation services in the five-star rated Flanagan Health and Rehabilitation Center. Recently renovated, the center features an inviting fireside lounge, a dining room, and 20 private and semi-private rooms with private baths. A completely new physical therapy suite, with state-of-the-art equipment and care modalities, is adjacent to residents’ rooms.

Therapy programs are individualized to suit each person’s needs, wants, and lifestyle, and are coupled with results-oriented daily support. Everything is provided by a team of highly qualified, board-certified physical and occupational therapists.

Each member of our rehabilitation staff is trained to be able to provide post-COVID care, including respiratory therapy.

Simpson includes retirement communities in and around Philadelphia that offer senior independent living apartments and cottages, personal care and assisted living, memory support, short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing care and home care.
