My father stayed at the Shrewsbury Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in April for a respite stay. It was clean and comforting. He spoke very highly of the staff and their attention to his needs.

Staff at Shrewsbury Rehabilitation center are very experienced and professional. They take care of each and every patients with great respect and caring manners. Deeply appreciate their support for my mom.

I'm writing this in the hope that somebody will happen to find this review and understand just how apathetic this establishment is to the people it claims to care for. It sincerely breaks my heart to see such glowing comments about a facility who has made it clear they don't care about their subjects. The treatment my father underwent at this facility was negligent at best, malicious at worst; after weeks of phone calls alerting me that he kept falling over on their watch, I set up a meeting specifically to air my grievances about their care of him - and even when trying to acknowledge during this meeting that they may be overworked or understaffed, the head of nursing immediately cuts me off and says "that's not true" (OK, so then is it negligence or just plain incompetence?) Later that same day, I went to visit my father and couldn't see him in his bed from the doorway, so I went further inside and found him facedown on the disgusting floor, completely unattended to; I had to run down the hall to find someone to bother doing something. The bedside manner is non-existent, the care and attention are dismal, and it is impossible to feel an ounce of compassion coming from any staff member in that building. It's possible they'll say this isn't reflective of their typical standards, but everything I watched my father go through in that building suggests exactly the opposite. If you're a jaded healthcare professional, you need to find a new line of work.

I am so grateful to everyone at Shrewsbury Nursing and Rehab for providing such kind and attentive care for my father during his nearly two month stay after a hospitalization. Every single staff member who interacted with him was exceptional and made an enormously positive difference in his life. Thank you so much.

I want to thank the leaderahip team, Heather -Director, Rea (Head of Nursing), Nancy (dietition)for listening to my concerns regarding my mom's needs. They were incredible. They took ownership to rectify the situation and so far so good. Ialso want to say the the head nurses, Miriam, and Tony are compassionate, and kind to the residents there. My mom is happy and safe as a result of all the staff efforts.
