Shreveport Manor made me and family feel so welcomed. This is a new experience for me and my family and they made the process stress free. We were introduced to the entire staff and we didn’t feel not one bad vibe. I really feel we made the right decision for my mother. Call them and tour. You won’t be disappointed trust. Just ask for Ms Brown.

Most of the staff was really great. Especially lower level staff (CNA's, food service). We asked for bed rails because there was an extreme fall risk. Agreed to sign the form they required to absolve them of liability of restraint. We never saw the bed rails. Bugs everywhere. I swatted them off of the bed, the chair I was sitting in. Smashed them on the floor. Had to stand guard to ensure the bugs didn't crawl on my FIL. Made the administration aware. No action was taken until the day we decided to take him out which was four days after we got there. Too little too late. We were accused of being homeless because we wanted to keep a relative in the room to ensure he didn't fall out of the bed because no bed rails were provided. This was a retired professor who could have bought the place out. Homeless? I think not. The water in the sink in the bathroom barely ran to be able to wash your hands. Awful, awful place. If you don't care about the person you're responsible for and just want to get them off your hands? Place them here. Otherwise, find a better place. Better yet, find a way to keep them at home if you can; it's cheaper anyway even with home health coming on a regular basis. You have the ability to care for your loved one with dignity instead of leaving them to rot in a care facility like this one. (October 2024) No wonder they have one of the highest staff turnover rates in the area. Update (4/24/2026) in response to the owner's reply below: He's still alive at 90 and doing well. He would have died at Shreveport Manor if we had kept him there because the nurses couldn't keep an eye on him 24/7 and they wouldn't allow us to stay in the room with him. He would have attempted to get out of bed and fallen. They accused us of being homeless because we wanted to keep a relative in the room to prevent falls. Attempting to forcibly remove the family member on guard to prevent a fall was a failure of competent decision making on a grand scale, especially when guard rails had not been provided. Administration and the head nurse on duty the Monday we finally left this awful place both need to have charges filed against them for endangering the elderly. Trust me. You will never show us the improvements you are making and we are warning everyone we know about the treatment we got at your facility. To actively address the issues discussed above as you say you are, you need to release that administrator from his duties before he gets you into serious trouble.

My aunt Close Aubrey is currently a patient here. I really love the staff MYA in the back office is so helpful and will take care of your request quickly. The night nurse Shanitta calls me and give me updates often.
