After a fall, my mother was admitted to Shoreview for rehabilitation with the possibility of long-term care. Sadly, after only 14 days, her condition had deteriorated significantly instead of improving. During her stay, she did not receive her blood thinner medication that she needed. She was also left sitting in urine, which contributed to the development of a severely infected bedsore. While at the facility, she contracted RSV and pneumonia, making it difficult for her to breathe. Her coughing became so severe that she developed a hernia. When I realized she was not getting the care she needed, I asked the staff to call an ambulance so she could be transferred to a hospital. The head nurse told me that, because of the snowstorm, ambulance service was not available. The following day, I called an ambulance myself and had my mother discharged. All of this is aside from the roach infestation we witnessed in her room and the poor-quality, often inedible food that was served. IN MY OPINION, The lack of care my mother received was life-threatening. Based on my family's experience, I would not recommend this facility.

Our family is incredibly grateful to everyone at Shore View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the exceptional care my father received after his hip replacement at Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS). His was a very complex case, and he needed intensive rehabilitation to relearn how to walk. Thanks to the outstanding team at Shore View, he exceeded our expectations. A heartfelt thank you to all of the nurses, aides, therapists, and staff for their professionalism, kindness, and genuine care. We would especially like to recognize nurses Anna and Regina, whose compassion and attentiveness brought our family tremendous peace of mind. A very special thank you goes to Physical Therapist Abdullah, who was truly a miracle worker. His extraordinary skill, patience, and ability to motivate transformed my father’s recovery. He challenged him, encouraged him, and helped him accomplish things we never thought possible so soon after surgery. We will never forget the impact he had on my father’s life. We are also deeply grateful to PT George, whose professionalism, skill, and compassionate approach made every therapy session meaningful. He worked alongside Abdullah to help my father regain his strength, balance, and independence, always treating him with kindness, respect, and encouragement. As my father’s daughter, there is nothing more reassuring than knowing your loved one is in such capable and caring hands. Shore View made a difficult time much easier for our entire family. We also appreciated the excellent variety of delicious meals, which made my father’s stay even more enjoyable. Thank you for helping my father regain his mobility and independence. Your dedication and humanity made a lasting difference, and our family will always remember everything you did for him.

Shore View has been a true blessing for our family. My 96-year-old father has been in their care, and I cannot say enough about the exceptional job they do. The staff is warm, attentive, and genuinely kind — they treat him not just as a patient, but as a person. It’s clear they take real pride in what they do.

My 88-year-old father came here for post-op rehab after a hip fracture. From day one, the staff was professional on every level, coordinating his rehab with expertise and genuine kindness. The 8th floor Nurses, NPs, Supervisors, CNAs, Housekeeping, all deserve applause and big Thank you! I would like to mention a 10th floor Physical Therapy department with a hard working professionals and modern equipment. A surprising highlight was the dining—my father actually liked the food better than his meals at home! He recovered from hip surgery and is now safely back home. We are so appreciative of the seamless care and professional environment provided by the entire team.

I had an excellent experience with this rehabilitation center in Brooklyn. The staff were professional, attentive, and truly caring. The facility was clean and well-maintained, and the social workers provided high-quality support, guidance, and attention to every detail. They made the recovery process much easier and more comfortable. I am very grateful for their help and highly recommend this rehab center.
